Toddlers love- age appropriate as stated
Great for toddlers. They are curious and have such ability to understand and want to experiment! Loved it, as my grandchildren did, 3 and 5! they want to go outside and actually see these. Also toys, stickers! (Cavet though day care has taught shapes with actual cut outs. They love and can easily basic star, moon, sun, etc.

Great resource for my students!
I was so excited when this book arrived! I love how well organized it is. It is easy to follow, whether my students and I are reading for in-depth information, or just browsing through the "That's so cool!" sections to find interesting tidbits. I especially like the helpful hints that we astronomy novices need--vocabulary terms defined, as well as easy ways to measure angles in the sky. Now we can find what you are describing. Thanks, Dr. Betts, for writing such a wonderful book!

Great for ALL ages!
Written by a PhD who knows how to "explore outer space" simply. Includes color photographs of planets, the Milky Way and Nebulas. Also has clear line drawings of constellations and how to connect them to truly grasp the entire glittering universe over your head. includes definitions, info on next eclipses, meteor showers, international Space Station flyovers, telescope brands, etc. Fascinating book for all ages, from kindergarden on up. 165 pages.

Great gift for astronomy kids 🔭
My son and I are actually really enjoying this book as we prepare for an upcoming camping trip out of the city heading to a dark park. It’s really informative and written in easy enough terms for amateurs like us to understand.

Nice Introduction to Astronomy
I purchased this for my 7-year-old niece. She is very interested in the stars, planets, constellations, etc. This book is well laid out with pictures of the constellations and a brief description of each one. The book is also done in sections of what can be seen with the naked eye, binoculars, or a telescope.

Great teaching tool.
I was teaching a Messy Church science class that pertained to stars and using them to guide your way. The students were 4 to 9 years old and really responded to making their own Asterisms. We used marshmallows and toothpicks.

Excellent book for budding astronomers
Brilliant book for young astronomers. Well laid out and easy to follow. I love the fact that ot shows you how to star gaze with just your eyes! I bought it for my 5 year old to go with his telescope. It's a great family activity.

NB. American book - therefore American grammar and spellings!
My grandchildren, aged 5 and 6, have been studying space at school and, like me, have shown an interest in this subject. As we will be holidaying with them shortly in a fairly 'dark sky' area, and at the same time as the Perseid meteor shower, I bought this so that we can have some time together chatting about all things space. The book is great as far as content goes, age relevant, and appropriate for their reading abilities - hence the 4 stars - but I was disappointed to find out that it is an American book, so the grammar and spellings given in some places are not the same as those which they have been taught. Less of a problem if an adult is reading the book to them as we can read it as it should be, but more of a problem when they read it themselves - which the older one certainly will.
