The product works as described and is well manufactured. Highly recommended!
The first Lowepro ProTactic 450 AW II Black Pro Modular Backpack, which I received, had a material defect along the main zip and was also missing some accessories. After much wrangling, Amazon eventually replaced it with a flawless replacement, which works very well and is highly recommended.

Sturdy and well made
I have had this product for over a month now, and can honestly say that it has met all my expectations. Easily holds my Canon 5D mark IV, 70-200mm and 24-105mm lenses, plus also my older camera and another two lenses and my laptop plus all the chargers (for info my laptop has a 15.6inch screen and its dims are 2400mm x 3600mm and easily slips in and out) The ability to customise the interior is excellent.Everyone will have their own preference, but by keeping my 5D with the 70-200mm lens attached (my go to combination) at the base of the bag, it easily accessible via the side zip.Yes, the bag (empty) is slightly heavier than previous ones I have owned, it is a small price to pay for an extremely sturdy product. Would you carry over £6k worth of equipment in a carrier bag????If there were any fault that I can find, it's the waterproof cover. It's attached to the base of the bag and fits nicely over the bag. However, if it was detachable, by way of a zip, it would make drying out easier.Pricewise, yes it is a little more expensive than other bags, but it will pay for itself in the long run due to superior workmanship.PS. Either buy direct or via Amazon (as I did) as there are fake ones out there.

Looks good but not as practical as I'd have hoped
It's a given that there isn't one 'ideal' camera bag out there so I wasn't entirely surprised that after buying a bag that held as much I wanted to take with me to deliver workshops and classes, or to a fairly 'static' shoot out of the studio, I still needed a smaller bag for walkabout type stuff in town.On paper this should have been ideal but it's missing the mark. On the plus side it's compact, smart looking and I like the fact that I can choose to put the dividers in the camera gear part such that my camera is not right at the bottom of the bag where it might be the first thing to hit the ground. I don't even much mind the gapping between the camera section and the top compartment - easily solved with use of a suitable pouch. I can fit my 15 inch laptop in the dedicated sleeve with no issue.However... I use a slingshot style camera strap that screws into the base of my full frame DSLR and with it attached, the camera is too wide for the bag. I have to unscrew it and store the strap elsewhere which reduces the speed and ease with which I can grab my camera and go. I have also found the velcro tabs on the repositionable dividers to be insufficient and frequently open the bag to find the contents not where they started as the dividers have come adrift. I feel that the dividers need a bit of a rethink in terms of size/shape and number. Could definitely use more!Currently I'm using this to carry a 5DMk3 fitted with a 24-105 lens, a 100mm macro lens, a 580EX speedlight, the aforementioned camera strap and a pouch with spare batteries/memory cards, lens cloth/brush. I could probably comfortably add a lightweight cagoule and a small packed lunch or a warmer fleece but no lunch. So it's not for a long day out on the hills equipping you for all weathers but it works for an afternoon's schlep about town.

Smaller than I expected
I love this bag. It’s got a great hard shell and I never really have to worry about damaging anything inside the bag (unless it got run over by a truck I guess). I love the accessories as well - water bottle holder, tripod holder, etc. my only downside of the bag is the size. I thought it was gonna be a bit bigger. I can just about fit all of my kit in, but there’s sometimes I can’t. It just barely fits a 15” MacBook pro so if you have a 16”, you’ll probably need a bigger bag. Overall very happy with my purchase!

First, I bought the 350 version, I was so happy. Then I need extra bag coz now I have more equipment. No doubt to buy it again, the 450 version, bigger one. Happy... happy...

A camera bag that easily and safely packs your equipment and deals with the weight
This rucksack is built to last. A previous cheaper one the straps pulled apart after 10 days of use fortunately I caught the bag before it hit the floor preventing damage to a lot of expensive kit. Buy cheap buy twice!

Great LowePro quality, as is usual
I got this bag as a replacement for another by LowePro that my increased camera gear had outgrown.I wanted one place to put everything safely.I needed a lot of time (a couple of hours) to get the layout in the photos and I used some spare inserts to save me having to think too hard. There are 6-7 included inserts unused. I will see if I can get the same results without a need for spares from another systemMy main camera (Nikon D500 plus battery grip) is at the top of the case and my second one (Nikon D300s plus battery grip) is accessible via one of the two side access flaps/doors.Although it took a lot of time to get the inserts right, I did manage to stow everything away. This equipment is easy on my back as it’s central on my shoulders. Quite comfortable.I have now managed to put all my gear in one place and I’ll take out what I need on short journeys. The wide at the rear removable belt is a bonus. It has zippered pockets either side and can take Molle type accessories, as can most of the case. The tripod cup and straps, water bottle holder and phone pouch are great bonuses, too. This gives me easy access to some items while the main access is effectively theft proof. All in all a very fine bag with a superb carrying capacity.Highly recommend.
