These are amazing mics ! My workhorse mics, of course there great vocal mics, but they sound good on about anything. Best mic ive ever used on high level 4/ 12 cabs, mandolin ,acoustics,banjo ect. They have a velvety smooth sound. This mic on female vocals can save the day shrill or very bright vocal. I loaned one to a friend, that only has 1 ribbon mic in his studio ,a Royer r10. He liked it over his r10! Dont think it would beat out a r121. For the price they are a great value.
