Good jacket/coat design book
Have just received this book and after a quick read, felt compelled to leave a review as it is looks like such a good book. I bought it to learn how to adapt my hip length bodice blocks to jackets and coats to fit me. Although no instructions are given for how to draft a bodice block (dealt with in many pattern cutting books and YouTube) instructions for drafting a basic sleeve are given. The book mainly covers how to adapt a bodice block and basic sleeve to make 5 different jacket and 2 coat styles. It does not cover tailoring; just pattern cutting, with a little fashion history. Very well illustrated with photographs and sketches of designs, and easy to follow instructions with lots of accompanying line drawings.

No blocks included
I was actually really disappointed to find that there were no block drafts included with the book, which was my main reason for purchasing this. The book consists of directions and diagrams of how to alter a block for various styles of jacket. I felt a bit cheated. Apart from that the book features clear photos and diagrams but I had to purchase a other book to enable me to draft my own block.
