Fluidmaster PRO71UK 1 1/2 Inch Flapper Handle

I have been using these as a direct replacement for the outmoded syphonic flush for around 15 years. At one time water bylaws would not allow these but that is no longer a problem. The installation is simple and easy but do not overtighten. Once you have installed it make sure that you show everyone in the house how little effort is required to operate it. If you don't the odd dolt is liable to break the mechanism.

I'm a plumber for over 20yrs but the toilet in my own house is lead poured into a cast iron stack it's ancient,but doesn't leak so never changed but inm on my third cistern,every Syphon I tried just didn't have enough umph to flush away paper etc,then read something online and decided to try one off these, straight away cleared the bowl very impressed easy to fit and done what it was supposed to unlike Dudley and all them out turbo flush nonsense syphons..Apparently these are what they have been using in US for last 30year.Great product 5 stars..

Far better than a standard unit

This is the best replacement syphon I have ever fitted as with a modern cistern you need to keep flush to remove the products,with this one , just one just and that it, no more wasting water
