It's what I needed to begin calculations, however, there's no page of formulas, no shortcuts like an original math book would have, you have to read the whole anecdotal story before you get to the point. So irritating. Also, makes it difficult to go back and reference any material.

Dr. McPherson is a dynamo in opioid pharmacology! Her case-based and stepwise approach is so easy to follow, yet steeped with well-grounded science. She really 'shows her work'! I find I can use this book in teaching residents and in offering consult solutions for other practitioners. Thank you for keeping this valuable resource up to date for us, Dr. McPherson!

It’s a pharmacy book. If you’re not a pharmacist you’re probably not looking for this title. It is the newest edition and came quickly. It is not hardcover which for the price I was a bit surprised. My husband was really excited to get it and apparently was not expecting it to be hardcover. I don’t know.

This is a a wonderfully helpful and fun book. I found it straight forward and clear. At the precise moment, I would be challenged in how to think about a calculation or conversion or something and think "Ugh I'll never get through this" the next line would cause me to burst out laughing. Dr. McPherson not only knows her pharm, she knows exactly when a student may fade away. This book is for all providers who are prescribing narcotics. Thank you for the time and energy it took to research and write.

I am a palliative care fellow, and this book is great. The information is great, and the author writes about this topic with an easy-to-read style. We have bought these books for everyone in our program.

I found this book well written and easy to understand. I have had trouble with dosage calculations in the past, but this broke down the process and used practical situations. I think it will be useful for NP/PA and med students.

I suppose it is a good book but not what I was looking for.
