Robic SC-522 Digital Count-Up and Countdown Handheld Timer, Black (18132)

10/06/14. This timer performs well and is simple to use. I bought it for my very ill brother (pancreatic cancer) who needed to take water every 15 minutes and couldn't remember to do so. Sadly, he only used it for three weeks prior to his death. The tool is a good product and I recommend it for anyone who needs a simple to use timer with several functions.

I purchased 5 of these for the count down timer aspect as I was planning on using them for my 5 homeschool students. 4 or the 5 are not longer working. What a waste of money.Because I did my school planning and purchasing during summer break, I didn't open them up and start using them until 2 months later, which means I can not return them. Of the 5 we purchased, only 1 is working now a month later. The left button for setting the timer stopped working first and then on a few of them the screen is not in alignment or something, as half the numbers are either real faint, or not showing up at all.Also, these are not easy to set. If you were using the same time again and again it wouldn't be too bad, but my students will be setting them for different times, multiple times a day. I'm going going to purchase some kitchen timers and just put strings on them so they will be easy to cary around.

Although initially I had some issues programming the timer, I got help from the tech guy and have enjoyed it ever since. The important thing to remember is that the colon has to show in order to count down in seconds; without the colon, you count down in minutes. I use it for stretching and yoga, and it's been very handy. Having the ability to count up is a bonus.

This timer is adequate. The sequence to set it is cumbersome and time consuming to try to change the countdown feature on the fly. The red buttons that you must press to set it are small and depressed and it requires some effort to press them. I keep this in my gym bag and it will no longer count up as stop watch. I have tried removing the battery and resetting to no avail. I mostly needed it for the countdown feature. Meh. Because you cannot turn it off, the timer is constantly being initiated by bumps to my bag. I've only had it a few months and am looking for a replacement.

Works as described. Simple, reliable. Can't do any better than that. I haven't had to change the battery and this clock has been running my games all season.

I ordered this for my husband in December 2010. He uses it to time his cardio workouts and to count down rest intervals in his strength training workouts. In the course of the workouts, he dropped the stopwatch occasionally on grass and exercise mats. It worked great for four months, then started losing the setup info (time, countdown time etc) sporadically. This occurred more and more frequently, until it just wasn't usable anymore. The bottom line is that this product cannot take any kind of a shock. Beware!

I researched for a timer that would work in silent mode as I needed one in a situation that I cannot disturb others around me. I found out that this timer in silent count-down mode is only silent when you set it. It beeps at 30 seconds before the time is up and also at time.

I am an umpire and I use this watch alot for local games and travel tournaments. I st the countdown form the lentgh of the game and away we go. The clock feature is very useful. It helps me to keep my games running on time. That is important when you are doing 6-10 games in a day. It also keeps the coaches on track. They can see the time as well and it helps solve many issues. There are several functions but it mostly use the countdown and the clock. Everthging is very easy to set. At least it was for me. The only problem is that my fellow umpires are always trying to steal it.

Best one I have owned. Easy to operate!
