Smart option for a dumb cup of coffee
My Cuisinart of 5 years died and it sent me looking for a “smart” brew option. I grind my whole beans at night before bed so I can be greeted every morning with a fresh pot when I wake. My last coffee maker had included a timer but only one setting and always took long to change, so I wanted a voice option and flexible timer for weekends and holidays. I have dozens of Alexa controlled, smart devices, so this option made sense—a simple, dumb on/off switch and a smart plug!Of my choices, this was the only one that Amazon advertised “Smart” (with a $9 plug, of course). Good move because I’m very happy with the brewing that can adapt to my schedule and now, Alexa voice control. I don't need a smart pot, I need a dumb, on/off maker with a smart plug."Alexa. Turn off coffee pot..."

It's fine...except...
When our last coffee maker bit the dust, I did a quick search and ordered this one up. Right size for us - we're basically a "two cups and we're done" couple - and I like that it's compact and fits well under the counter.A couple of minor issues: The carafe is snug under in it's location so you have to pull it straight out, you can't have any angle/inclination or it will stick. But that's a piddling thing. The other thing - see the photo - is that the pour spout is off-center by a few degrees. I'm hoping this wasn't intentional - it's caused more than a few dribbles in the early morning. I still haven't gotten used to it, hope we do eventually.Other than that, no worries.

Good little two person coffee maker
This is just the size my wife and I needed. We drink coffee only early in the morning and it makes just enough for us to have 2 cups each. Once you get used to how to put in filters and the coffee its great!Clay Barrilleaux82

Serves the purpose, but very cheap maker...
you got what you pay for. It makes a coffee. Very generic maker with one button On/Off. People referring to the leakage is because of the design. it is not a leakage, what happening is that the maker design to have a coffee basket as pretty much insert into the entire part of the maker and serve as the seal to the carafe. Unfortunately, during the brew process the water getting all over inside and when you open the lid to clean, pulling the basket getting some of that drops out. there is nothing you can do and if you'd like to get this one, you would have to deal with it.Some good things that I noticed:-- > When you pull the carafe before the brewing is finished, it is actually very clean comparing to other makes. so the seal between the basket and carafe is actually good.-- It does not take a lot of space.-- The carafe is kind of inside the walls of the maker that makes the carafe very stable.-- Can be plugged into the smart plug that compatible to google or amazon and you can do the automation to switch it on/off.-- Your coffee would be kept hot until you turn the switch off and this is sometimes a great thing instead of the maker goes off after 2 hours and any coffee that you left for later would become cold. Not that good:-- You have to remember to turn the makes off when not in use to avoid any fire issues.-- When finish and cleanup, some water drops can be all over. not a lot but still a little inconvenience.-- There is no visual water indicator, so you have to watch inside to how much you pour the water in. Best to fill the carafe with desired amount of the water and then pour it into the maker.-- The power cord is not that long, so you have to keep the maker close to the outlet.-- The maker is made from very cheap plastic, so, do not expect very pretty and shiny coffee maker.Over all I would give it 3 stars. It does brew coffee fine, and relatively fast. I use it with the smart switch and actually very beneficial to have it loaded night before and have a smart routine to start brewing the coffee at scheduled time in the morning.buy it or not: your decision :)

This is the best coffee pot ever, I would know...
We drink more coffee than Lorelei Gilmore and BLAZE through coffee pots (as in have to get a new Black and Decker or mr. Coffee brand coffee pot every 3-6 months, we just wear them out.) I ordered this one when our last one burned out bc I could get it delivered same day, and my expectations were pretty low. Even when I took it out of the box it just looked like a basic little coffee pot. It's turned out to be my favorite coffee pot of all time, it brews HOT coffee FAST every time. It comes apart easily to clean and after a ton of use it doesn't seem to be losing steam yet where by now any other coffee pot we've had would've been slowing up or acting a bit less enthusiastic by now. We are literally considering buying a few more to have for when we eventually do wear this one out because it's that great. Definitely the fastest and sturdiest little coffee pot I've ever had.
