This book helped me peal back the curtain to the nature of the physical foundations of computation: under the Algorithms , Virtual Machines, & OS Thread Schedulers there is a world of bits and circuits: Schuam's Computer Architecture helped me comprehend the structure of Von Neuman machines, cache lines , CPU registers and the hierarchal memory model that underpins modern computing.Kudos to the author !

Dated but informative.

This book is well organized and flows well from one topic to another. It also uses language for people who know a lot about computers and those who do not.

Used it for a reference for a Computer Organization class. Worth the money.

This is a nice book for review of the basic concepts of computer architecture. Like other Schaum's outlines books, the concepts are explained in a concise manner with examples and solved problems to reinforce and clarify the material.

The author assumes the reader is educated in the subject in the preface to the book. Not for those with new and growing interest.
