Hawking Technology Wireless Multifunction USB Print Server (HMPS1A)

I have tried several other Print servers ,which di not work on my Brother 250MFC.The Hawking works with no problem and would recommend it.

A friend needed to share an Epson NX110 multi-function printer between two computers. Since the computers are in different parts of the house, I got this Hawking print server to put the printer on the network. They used to have the printer physically connected to one of the computers and share it via Windows print sharing, but that meant leaving that computer on all the time and we had some network issues, preventing printing from working reliably.The Hawking print server was very easy to install and has worked quite well. We're using the Ethernet port to connect to our wireless router. There IS a client that has to get connected on each computer. One computer is running Windows 7 and the other is running Windows 10 and we had to install different client versions on each computer. Once we got the clients installed, both computers have been printing to the printer without issue.Very satisfied!

I can now print from my iPad. Easy to hook up, no software or apps to install. My opinion is it is way overpriced, should be about half the price.

El producto esta muy bueno, cuesta un poco configurarlo, pero ya una vez que se hace, todo lo demas lo hace el automaticamente, es muy sencillo mandar a imprimir desde cualquier computadora. lo unico que no me gusto es que la impresion desde el celular es solo para dispositivos IOS no funciona con android, creo que deberian mejorar esto, si fuera compatible con adroid seria perfecto

It works! Connected easily to network, LED's indicate status adequately but once it's up and running there should be no further need to physically access the unit. More practical than a simple USB hub since it allows any user on your WiFi network to access peripherals.

I love the way this Hawking HMPS2U device server works! It essentially gives you the ability to access non-wireless devices as a wireless device. It works with printers, hard drives, USB flash drives and USB speakers. I use it to make a wireless connection to my Dymo 4XL label printer which does not have wireless capability. Now I can print my eBay shipping labels from my laptop while sitting and watching the morning news from my living room. I used to have to go into my home office and physically connect to my a USB port on my laptop. The one downside is the quick installation guide is horrible. The steps are not adequately described and the screen shots are very dark and so small that no useful information can be discerned from them. Luckily they provide excellent tech support over the phone at 888-202-3344. I had my server up and running in ten minutes!! I would recommend the model HMPU2U because it has 4 USB ports available so that multiple devices can be supported (some models only have only one port). The connection set up is very easy, first connect an ethernet cable from the Hawking to your router (cable not included, I had one laying around), second connect the USB cable from the device you wish to control, to the Hawking server and last connect the power supply cord and plug it in. Next use the installation disk to install the driver and control software. Again the quick installation guide is a waste of time just call the tech support line and they will walk you thru the rest of the installation steps. Highly recommended to anyone that wants to have wireless control over a device that does have wireless capability.
