Arrived quickly. Have tested it out on a plasterer board partition wall with metal stud and it found centre easy. Tried it on a wall with some sockets and picked cabling up too. Haven’t tried it on pipework yet.

This is a great tool to keep close by when fixing into walls. I have used this to locate timber studs when fixing a TV into a plasterboard wall and on many other occasions. Works really well and the battery lasted a long time. Can also be used to detect wires and other obstructions.

Very easy to use and accurate bit of kit ,as I so a ot of stud work it an essential part of my tool box and doesn't cost a fortune well worth the money.

I needed to wall mount a TV, and wanted to find the studs and also determine of there was any electrical wires in the wall before starting.Since it was only one job and I didn't see my self needing it again, I decided to go cheap.It detects the studs roughly, but it's not super precise. I sometimes found that the stud was a little more to the left or the right when checking multiple times. Eventually I just worked out that the approximate centre of where each positive was being detected, and drilled. It worked on this occasion. That said, when you're doing something as important as mounting a TV, a mistake could cost you the TV, and your wall.I found that electrical sensor mode was completely random, and couldn't be depended on.It was super cheap, and it wasn't terrible, but after using it, I realise how important it was to get those measurements right, and spending a little extra on a more expensive model might ensure better results.Hope this helps.

I have to be honest, I was not at all impressed with this. Doesn’t seem very accurate. I would recommend going for something else.

Have tried other makes but nothing beats this one. Found everything I was trying to locate.. Great product
