A guide to walking the Two Counties Way: From Taunton to Starcross Paperback – Illustrated, 26 May 2018

Just finished walking the Two Counties Way. This book was a good guide but would not recommend doing the walk without taking an up to date OS map covering the areas. Some directions were incorrect to follow e.g. book said turn right at one point whereas in fact we had to turn left. Very enjoyable walk though with lots of different scenery and some amazing views

I was surprised how informative this guide is, its easy to understand and follow through, it has nice photos and reference points throughout your journey/walk and i particularly found the little map running throughout the book to be not only a nice addition but rather helpful. The walk itself is pleasant, and one can find retreats in one of many of the authors recommendations. Somerset through to Mid Devon is a beautiful part of the west country and if you fancy exploring it a little further this guide is certainly a worth while purchase to have as a helping hand along the way.

This book is a great guide for anyone looking to explore all or part of the Two Counties Way. My partner and I often go for long Walks/Hikes and living in the South West, 'Two Counties way' was one we had on our to do list. The book contains great advice and a nice amount of historical information to tie in with sights along the way.

Nice little read and a good source of info for my first planned walk of 2020.
