I can finally use my 50 watt Marshall at home!
I have a 50 Watt Marshall 1987x, its a tube amp with no master volume. While my studio is in the basement of my home, its still too loud to just play whenever I want. I decided to go with one of these instead of an attenuator because it allows me to plug directly into my interface without a cab and without harming my tubes. This unit allows to to select a pre loaded IR of a guitar cab or a bass cab, but you can turn it off and supplement your own inside your DAW. Its important to note, if you want to use the built in IR, you need to be using the XLR out and have phantom power on.When you first one of these up, you might think you need to set the output level high. Don't do that, start out at 0 and work your way up. I have mine at around 3.5, and my interface on that channel is at 0.You can also still use a cab with your head while sending the amp signal to your computer with the speaker out through put. They have one with no attenuation, and then one with -20dB attenuation. If you're looking for a way to use a tube amp with an interface directly, I highly recommend getting a Torpedo Captor. Just be sure to get a captor that matches your amps ohms to avoid any issues.

Works great
Sounds much better than my Marshall DSL1's emulated out. Can play silently through headphones. I haven't tried the plug in yet, but the analog speaker emulation works great.

Works as it should but mine did not come with a power cord.
I love the product just a little disappointed it didn't come with a power cord, I had one that I was able to use and it works great!

Lack of Power Adapter is a deal breaker
This unit works better than i initially thought it did. I had a mixer with issues so without phantom power i thought it worked very poorly. This is something a power adapter would have remedied. I spent a lot of time trying to order an adapter to specifications, but none of them worked. For various reasons gigging this as a working DI/load with phantom power was impractical. Lo g story short… the lack of a power adapter wasted a ton of my time and effort and i sent it back. However, this unit does do what it is supposed to do with phantom power and could be useful in the home studio if that’s what you’re into.

Initial disappointment followed by "OH"
At first I was kinda pissy about the "volume knob" on the front not controlling the attenuated output. "That's really dumb"And it is. They should fix it. It means I can only really use this device with one amp. That said, the -20 db cut was about perfect for my Vox AC15C1X. I found the balance point where I'm not getting evicted, but I'm making the Alnico Blue rattle just enough, while still getting luscious Mullard EL84 output tube distortion. And it's all pick attack dependent. I can just pick slightly tamer and it's clean. So heaven basically. Maybe -20db is perfection. I'm an attenuation newbie. This is my first "reactive attenuator".Yes it's better. Yes it's worth it. And to my ears, their "guitar speaker cab simulation" is Alnico Blues. So perfect. You can start gushing about this product as a Vox amp owner because of that -20db sweet spot. They nailed it for us. But the DI out is just amazing. I have two tracks I recorded. One with a close mike SM57 and one with their guitar cab sim out. They are so close it's wrong. It feels like they are cheating.THANK YOU. You made something that's usually a pain, very easy. That said your cab sims are lacking. I'm using the ones I made that are better. But you gave me that ability. So cool on you.Decent software included for free also. I had no issues importing my cab sims.Hope this helps
