ITTECC® New LCD Hinge Display Hinge Fit for iMac 27" A1419 2012 2013 2014 P/N.: 923-0313

When my late '13 27-inch iMac hinge broke, I was sad. I ordered this hinge and when I took my Mac apart, I saw what broke on the hinge. I'm pretty irritated that Apple used plastic to hold the tension on the coil spring in place. Obviously over time that plastic would break and it did. Now this new hinge is working pretty well so far. However, they also used plastic tabs under the screw to hold the coiled spring in place, so eventually this will break too. I would have given this 5 stars had they used a strong metal in place of the plastic, which would keep it from breaking again.
