Allen Edmonds Men's McGregor Wingtips

Built on the 65 last which is one of their longest, this fits true to size. With some AE's, I have to go a 1/2 size larger, but not these. When on sale, I think the AE's are pretty good value as a Goodyear welted shoe. The leather is full grain (not corrected) and the coloring is very good. The only thing that prevents the 5th star is you can see uneven and loose stitching which shows that quality control is not 100%. For someone looking for a very solid shoe that can be resoled over a lifetime at an affordable price (vs. high priced UK or Italian shoes), these AE's are highly recommended. However, when you buy AE's make sure you only get the firsts and not seconds as fitting and appearance suffer greatly.

I bought these shoes 3 weeks ago and had some sole protectors placed by a local cobbler. Either way, love the Goodyear Welt Construction so these can basically last a lifetime as long as you upkeep them. ALWAYS buy shoe trees. It’s the greatest boring investment ever when it comes to shoes, but it keeps the leather beautiful! The stitching on these shoes has a couple of mishaps but hard to complain at the price. Very comfortable and leather hasn’t even really creased. Quite impressed. These shoes are a just fit. I am a 9.5 and they fit spot on like my tennis shoes would. I would recommend going with your typical size wth this model. So far I’m extremely impressed!
