Rosewill RHFN-14002 Oscillating Table Fan with Remote Control

I am torn on how well to rate this fan. It was fantastic for the week that it worked. I particularly liked the ability of the fan head to pivot up and down and the remote control. It is sleek and attractive, and oscillates smoothly. The fan is almost quieter than I wanted! There is a nearly unnoticeable amount of white noise when it is running. The LED is quite bright, so if you want to keep your fan running at night and are easily disturbed by light, this might not be the fan for you.It is possible that the product I got was simply defective and a replacement would have worked much better for much longer, but I would think twice before ordering.

One thing good about fans (usually) is that it's a simple old fashioned plug into the wall. Not this model- it is a DC powered fan so the AC plug has one of those bulky outlet blocking black boxes attached to it to convert from AC to DC. So this plug is closer to modern electronics than a typical house fan. Probably not an issue for most people but turned out to be an annoyance for me. Otherwise works well. Beeping sound when using remote a little annoying but manageable.

Thin profile design means blades don't have enough angle to move a lot of air, but that helps it be quiet. The lowest speed is good if you find other fans have too much power. We found it great for near our bed but not enough air movement to work in our kitchen/dining area. The remote works on a line-of-sight basis. It has a magnet that causes it to stick to the center of the fan housing (or a metal object near where you're sitting, which is nice).

this is a nice quiet fan. it has some issues that affect me. The led light is very bright and lights up a dark room. I prefer total darkness. This may sound trivial but the plug in can be lost. It detaches from the unit and I moved rooms once and could not find it. I am more careful now when moving it. good air movement and multiple settings.

Not much air comes out of it. I have to stand in front it and at the highest speed to get any air from it. It comes with a handy dandy remote that clings to face of fan to avoid losing it. It has a night light at the neck and the buttons are also on base of fan. It is not powerful enough to satisfy my air needs in the heat of summer. Okay for an air circulating fan in an air conditioned room but does not work well enough alone to provide air comfort in the heat.

Definitely a different fan, but one with some pretty good features. It tends to be almost whisper quiet, while still moving air quite nicely across a small (12' X 8') room.The remote is a touchy thing. You need to have a good line-of-sight to the fan for it to be functional. Even at that, it frequently takes more than one attempt to get the desired results.

It works fine, but after a few months of use: the light goes in & out, it starts to squeak when it oscillates. You do have to line up the remote just right for it to operate the fan, which can be annoying in the middle of the night...

Pleased with the fan except I was having a problem with the remote control. I would have to push it several times before it would change speeds or even turn on or off. After using it for several nights it seems to be getting easier to use. Love the little light around it. Noise level is very low.
