Works great and not expensive - Reset oil change on my 2017 911 Carrera
Easy to use and works well - needed it to reset oil light on my Porsche (which is really uncool of Porsche )

Worked well for 1st test.
Used it to reset an airbag error on my 07 Cayman S after installing a short shift kit. It did the job and was easy to use. Hopefully it will allow me to other things like oil change reset as well which I had to take it to the dealer for before.I also like that I can load my other vehicles into it too but I have not tested it with them yet.Good price compared to othe Porsche specific ODB testers.

Works Perfectly with VW, Mercedes
I bought this to work on my mercedes and it was exactly what I needed. It clears codes and looks into each system. I also looked into a Volkswagen and all the codes lined up perfectly with another professional scanner. This is all you should need for any make that it supports. I bought the 5 car model since I'm going to have more than 1 brand of vehicle over my lifetime. Definitely worth the purchase if you are buying a scanner.

Works great on Mercedes Sprinter and Toyota FJ
This is great for a Sprinter-Based RV.Was in the middle of Oklahoma when all the lights came on on the dash.Had a bad cross-wind, and this enabled me to read the code to see that the Sprinter was worried about my steering against a 45MPH cross-wind for too long.Great software and firm-ware.You need this.

Doesn't work as advertised. Exposes computer to viruses. A trophy for yer failed device collection.
I bought this to bleed the ABS pump and encode new injectors on my 2005 Dodge Sprinter (a Mercedes-Benz with some Chrysler bits thrown in). In short, it not only didn't work for my purposes, it opened my computer up to any virus or trojan that I might encounter. In order to install the Sprinter-specific device features I had to run the iCarsoft installation software "iCarsoft_MSDIAG_PCClientKits". When you double-click the file Windows will tell you that the software is from an unknown publisher and should not be run. If you ignore this and run it anyway, Windows will then inform you that you need to restart your computer to make changes to User Account Control. What? User Account Control is the feature of Windows that stops and asks you before a piece of software makes changes to your system. Y'know, like the things that viruses and trojans do? iCarsoft in their infinite wisdom COMPLETELY TURNS OFF THIS PROTECTION AND LEAVES IT OFF. Whatever their reason, the only excuse is lazy and sloppy programming. This is completely unacceptable. I'd return the junk immediately except during the winter Holly Daze someone in my household got rid of all of the boxes. If you don't run the "Installer" software you'll never be able to run the "Updater" software to load the device with vehicle-specific updates. If you don't do that, the gadget won't talk to your car/truck/van. Agghhh. If you reverse it's abuse of your computer's security, every time you run the "Updater" it will force you to allow it to disable User Account Control again.Oh, yeah, I forgot. Does the device work? For my Sprinter I need to drill down five levels just to get to the diagnostic menus. When I click on the first choice, "Auto Scan", the gadget will go through the list of possible subsystems/smart modules/controllers that IT KNOWS THAT your vehicle might have. In my case this scan found 8 of the 19 subsystems on my Sprinter. ABS wasn't one of them. If I look at the manually view the list of modules I find that the scanner can at least talk to all 19 subsystems. Including the ABS system that I'm most interested in.One of the main features that I bought the gadget for are to bleed the ABS pump. I couldn't find this option in any of the menus (which, BTW, aren't documented anywhere). So I contacted the single support guy for their US branch. Great guy. Very knowledgeable. His reply was,"I'm sorry to tell you that our scanners can't support ABS Bleed on it."My vehicle is 15 years old. It's not rare. The ABS controller is made by Bosch and used in hundreds of other vehicles.Have you ever seen someone who displays trophies of one type or another? I think I'll put this in my trophy collection.

Won't work on older sprinter
I purchased this because my 2007 sprinter was going into limp mode (turbo was not operating). When I u ploaded the software (took two attempts), it would not read my vehicle diagnostics. I tried 14 TIMES to call the help number to no avail. Nobody answered.I emailed and responses came 12 hours later. The technician said to do everything I had alread done - and then asked me for the VIN number which I included in both of my emails. The user manual was not user friendly - being written by someone who does not understand English grammar. A waste of time. I bought a Topdon ArtiDiag600 to replace this - at a cost of $40 more. Well worth the price: The user manual is legible, the unit has a battery and wireless interface, the operation is extremely logica - it works for Sprinters older than 2013 - and my problem seems to be taken care of in only an hour (the time needed to sset it up and then clean the diesel particulate filter)..

Simple but pricey
You cant use this straight out o the box but nothing tells you that. You need to download their software updater and add the manufacturers you want to be able to use this with. Once you do that its pretty intuitive and simple to use

What cars it works on
Good unit, easy to use, plug was tough to connect (due to my car, not the unit), and could you have printed the instruction booklet any smaller?? And maybe a little better in the translation department... I suppose I can find the booklet online, but I'm an analog guy in a digital world

Very useful for diy mechanics
You can save yourself a fortune in diagnostic repair costs. Up to now I've reset the service interval on a Jaguar XF, registered a new battery on my Evoque and diagnosed a faulty coilpack on a Z4 and it's already paid for itself compared with dealer charges.Downloading the software for each car using the USB lead and a laptop is simple to do from the iCarsoft website and the device is straight forward to operate.

Paid for itself already, but needed tinkering to get it to work.
Have a Mercedes with some nasty electric gremlins that the worst was traced to a faulty stereo unit. During the course of pulling fuses and disconnecting things, it induced a whole load of faults on the dashboard, the most worrying was SRS (airbags) fail on left and right hand sides. The unit allowed me to cancel a whole list of error codes and reset the SRS warning. It also confirmed that the rear SAM unit was faulty (issues with rear lights caused by water ingress)I only dropped a star from it as it didn’t work straight out of the box and I got the error code in the first photo when trying to access Diagnostics. After searching online and a very handy YouTube video that explained how he got his unit working>After downloading the updater tool from the Icarsoft website (Norton gave me a warning about electronic signature but I went ahead anyway), with the unit plugged in it wouldn’t update or download software. I had to remove the SD card and Format it in the memory card slot on my computer. Then when I ran the update tool, it downloaded the updated firmware and car specific files directly to the memory card in one operation. Remove the memory card and slotted it back into the Icarsoft Unit and it worked a treat - I then got the Mercedes menus I was expecting to see. Plug it into the OBDII port and it ran its tests. Came back with a load of results that were related to messing about with the electrics, but they were easily cancelled using the Icarsoft.I’ve no idea how much a garage would have charged me, but my local Mercedes dealer wants £120+VAT an hour to do anything so I reckoned it was worth the punt and I was not disappointed.I’m a bit old school when it comes to cars, but there are so many control systems in them these days that you need something like this if you want to understand what’s going on.

Hard to use as got to go to internet first
Rather than plug in car and get on it, this thing ha you download from icarsoft an app. Then you get in and the options for download do NOT include Land Rover. That was the sole reason for buying it. Also this model that arrived did not have (1+4) which was written on the lower right side of the screen. Dont know the relevance of that but still. I do know it is a headache to install. Have emailed the support chap but shouldn't have to. Should come with Land Rover on it. Plug in and use. Whoever came up with idea you first must install data is an idiot.
