You get everything you need to do a professional-quality painting in any of several mediums. Absolutely insane value for the price.The big pros:The box! Wow, this thing is amazing. All your stuff comes in a nice wooden box that is high-quality and meant to last. It even has a leather handle, good-quality clasps, the works. The top of the box opens to form a desktop easel, with adjustable angle by tightening the wingnuts on the sides. There's a removable drawer for more storage. The box has an extendable top holder for larger canvases. It's beautiful, sturdy, and has good storage. Wow. The price is worth it for the box alone. A small amount of assembly is required- just four bolts with wing nuts. If your'e looking for a portable or stowable personal art setup, get this now.Complete tools. You get oils, acrylics, and more. The oils and acrylics include white and black so that you can mix any color you want. There's six brushes, a trowel to move your paint, a palette, a sketchbook, an HB "medium" pencil, and two 8x10 canvases. And that's not all! I mean really, this is everything. Although the tubes are a little small, there's definitely enough here to cover the two canvases, meaning you have everything you need to make two masterpieces right out of the box.Expandable. You can rip out the plastic trays to enhance your storage. That means this box is fully capable of carrying everything you need in a professional setup. The only thing I wouldn't keep in this box would be a can of paint thinner for cleaning or diluting. Everything else can fit inside.The cons:Any good student will need to expand this set soon. The trowel is pretty bad, it's just a piece of plastic, but it'll get you through the included canvases. You need more paint, especially white and black. the moment you go beyond the included canvases. You need some bottles and paint thinner to clean your brushes or store mixed paint. And you could use even a cheap tray for mixing your paint before it hits the palette. But, that's about it for essentials. Everything else is here. So these are minor gripes.OverallAmazing value! Any student, person on the go, or aspiring artist in a small apartment needs one of these. Adding just a few essentials, I can keep my whole painting setup in one box that stows easily on a shelf when not in use. Absolutely amazing. If you were to get this for a beginning artist you'd better make room the "person of the year" mug you're going to get next holiday. Love it, love it, love it. Even as a professional, this would be a great box that can hold a full array of supplies, and it's sturdy enough and simple enough to survive a lifetime of use. Get it.

The concept of this is great. It just didn’t hold up very long. The contraption that lifts the lid, after a few very few uses the screw just came out. I still use the heck out of it but I’d be careful. The paint is great. Nice options to choose from. In conclusion, I’d buy it again.

Its super secure in the box. Like super secure. Pull it out of the box and its in another box, the manufacturers box. Then out comes the wooden box in the picture above! Its a nice size box. Open the locks on it and you first see your two canvases (smaller than I expected but that's okay), the palette (I think its called), the sketch pad (nice size, a lot of pages), the oil set and brushes (my brushes werent there for a second found them on the side) and the pieces for then outside of the box to turn it in to the eesle thing. And then the acrylic part is in a drawer below with a sorta lock to secure it. I just noticed I'm missing the medium size brush. I'm going to contact the seller about that. But all in all I'm super satisfied with my purchase! Everything looks wonderful, but I am kind of shocked that a brush is missing but, all in all, must buy!

I noticed when checking reviews prior to ordering, many buyers purchased this item as a gift. When I opened the box, I first thought I had been sent a used product as the materials were scattered with paint markings everywhere - nothing had stayed in the tray as intended. I checked all the paint tubes, and they were all sealed, and then opened the drawer where additional supplies were - they were all still in the tray. If I had sent this directly as a gift to someone, I would have been very disappointed they received something that appeared to be used. (See photo) - Suggestion would be to somehow seal the tray that is in the main part of the case, or put thick cardboard there that would hold it. I was truly ready to return it as used until I checked all the tubes and discovered them sealed.

I got this for my daughter's birthday. The box is nice and it looked beautiful until she opened it up and all of the art supplies were tossed everywhere inside and the inside of the box was completely covered with oil pastel marks. It looked really ugly. I would have been embarrassed if I had given this to anybody other than immediate family. And even then I was extremely disappointed that it didn't look inviting to immediately use. She spent about an hour putting everything to rights. But I would not buy this again or would I give this to anyone else. This was a real shame because it's a great concept. I wish I just bought the easel box without the extra supplies. I think I would have been happier.

Bought as gift for teen grandchild. They thought it was great. Has pretty much anything a budding artist needs for drawing.
