Infernal Geometry and the Left-Hand Path: The Magical System of the Nine Angles

Not your typical geometry textbook.
A smooth read - not exactly easy, but Toby breaks the details down into comprehensible details both historical and mythological.

As described, brand new
Any LHP book that is worthy of attention, like this one, will not be properly understood by many who peruse it as the world is filled with those who attempt to practice above their skill level and outside of their scope. This is not a book for a beginner but rather for a “seasoned veteran” of the LHP, someone who has been on and lived the path for decades. The author does an EXCELLENT job of explaining histories of various organizations and imageries and shedding light on truths and clearing up some falsehoods as well. Again, these are ADVANCED LHP concepts and are intended for those who are already familiar with the path and it’s actual origins directly from their sources and NOT the myths of pop culture. The concepts are clearly and concisely explained leaving much room for creative tinkering. Previous reviewers who misunderstood the text, it context and it’s concepts are clearly not qualified for this read and need to do their prerequisite reading and study before they jump into advanced concepts. While some may claim to be great mathematicians, this book just goes to show and prove that without the additional Metaphysical knowledge and experience that is required, some may find it confusing. For those experienced practicioners who are legitimately on and living the LHP, this book will NOT DISAPPOINT and is a moving, innovative and VALUABLE addition to any Sorcerer/Sorceress’s library.

The Guide to the Nine Angles
Toby Chappell’s book is one of those rare books that is an essential “must-read” for those who pursue the Left Hand Path. The Nine Angles provide a model for understanding and guiding Becoming and much, much more. Most importantly, the Angles themselves are responsive to the mind of the Initiate and and they will transform accordingly. This book is all meat with no potatoes. Chappell goes into many interesting thought stimulating areas such as the concepts of curved and angular time and the influence of H.P. Lovecraft and John Dee. I was particularly interested in reading about Anton LaVey and Michael Aquino and the Lovecraftian rituals from The Satanic Rituals. Chappell presents a coherent and unique system for Working with angular magic in this book, including a daily practice and angular rites of passage. Even a system of divination with trapezoidal tiles with R’Lyehian symbols is revealed. There is a lot here. I’m barely scratching the surface of the tools and mind altering concepts explored in this book that are found nowhere else. I am curious to see the impact of this book over time. I hope to see more works from Mr. Chappell in the Is-To-Be.

Not just a grimoire for the LHP...
This is one of the best new books on the Western Left Hand Path to come out of the occult closet. An alternate title could be, "The T.O.S. Necronomicon: A handbook to magickal self-transformation and creative process on the LHP". This book not only contains Setian keys to magick, both practical and ceremonial, but also contains a sound map and method for creatives and self-initiation workings for any path (as long as you keep an open mind). Weaving together C.O.S. (Church of Satan) ideas and practices in 'angular magic' with Lovecraftian deities and Pythagorian geometry, this book takes you on a multi-dimensional journey. In the T.O.S., there is the "Order of the Trapezoid", which have been making use of and developing these practices for a few decades, but until now were only for those initiates. Buckle-up, there are lots of sharp turns on this ride.

Super informative
10/10If you are new to LHP don’t get this book first as I did, as it will leave you more confused than when you started. However, Mr. Chappel does in fact know what he’s writing about and the information in this book will prove invaluable to those who understand it.

A Masterpiece
A powerful and deep book that lays the foundation for a unique system of magick. The concepts require quite a bit of thought to integrate, but are also effective in a way that I have not encountered before. This is probably not the best choice for a person new to occult studies, as there is no hand holding or coddling. For an experienced practitioner, though, it is an absolute gold mine. As another reviewer said, this is a must have book.
