Husband and toddler approved!
My husband purchased this and uses it daily! It is also great for our 4 year old son! He loves hanging from it and trying to do chin ups, like Dada.

Simple - good product
I really like the simplicity of this product. I read lots of reviews of much more expensive products. All had complaints about eventual damage to walls or door frames over time. With this product when I remove it it’s a simple patch of 6 tiny screw holes and a bit of paint Vs having to repair dry wall and/or the door frame.

Sturdy but hard to grip
Installing the pull-up bar was quick and easy, I really like the mounting cups which prevent the bar from slipping down at all. I keep mine up most of the time but occasionally take it down if it becomes an obstruction, and both putting it in the cups and taking it out of the cups is fast and simple. So far I haven't had it try to twist loose like some reviews have stated, I don't know if that's a difference in form or just specific units. My main complaint is that the foam padding is thick and uneven due to the overlap. A small section is over half an inch thick that then drops off to a quarter inch, and I can't find a comfortable spot for that to fit in my hands. I tried doing pullups on the bare bar, and despite the slick surface, I found them much easier to do without the padding because my grip was more consistent.Overall a good bar and I was happy that it let me continue my workouts. I recommend buying some friction tape along with this bar and just skipping the padded grips altogether.

Budget Friendly Pull up bar.
I’m Using this primarily for pull-ups. I’m a 6 foot 3 tall guy. I weigh 230 pounds and it hold my weight just fine.It doesn’t bend either my weight it’s plenty strong. The pads that come with it aren’t the best of quality but do the trick just fine. It extends to 40 inches max exactly like it states it does. I was concerned it wouldn’t. Some advice add longer phillps head screws so it will be strong into the studs in the door way because the screws that come with it are not long give it some more strength. For the money it’s plenty good enough for me. I recommend this product for someone that is looking to do some pull-ups that doesn’t want to spend much money to do them.

J-Fitness chin-up bar
Honestly this chin-up bar is really good. Didn’t fail to disappoint and its cost as well as function is fairly exceptional. It helps with workouts and its size helps to adjust it to the size of your doorframe. It was easy to assemble as long as you have the right materials to do it and can find an assembly video on YouTube. Overall, this pull up bar is 10/10 in functionality, assembly and usability.

Excellent quality pullup bar !
All of the pieces look to be of excellent quality. I installed the frame cups and inserted the bar in 20 minutes from start to finish. Was surprised how difficult it is to hold oneself on the bar even before considering a pull up !

Perfect for my needs
The doorway I hung this in is 30 inches, so I only needed to extend the bar about 4 inches to make it fit. I used the mounting brackets as I didn't have any objection to putting them in my door frame. I did use some longer screws than the ones that came with it, but this is because I wanted them to bite into the stud and not only the molding. It does not interfere with the door in any way.The bar I received has velcro attached hand grips, so I am able to adjust their positioning to wherever I need them. I think j/fit saw all of the comments about hand grips being off-set when the bar is extended and improved their product based on feedback, which is what I like to see!I installed the little red tabs that came with it that lets you put the bar lower on the door frame to hook your feet under for sit-ups, but I haven't done much with that.I notice the direction I approach the bar makes a difference, if I hang from it in the direction that 'unscrews' it will sometimes rotate a little bit. Not enough to be a problem, just enough to catch my attention. I check the tightness frequently as it's easy to do and almost a warmup stretch. My motivation for getting any doorway pull-up bar was the realization that I would be more likely to use a pull-up bar if it was instantly accessible, as opposed to the bar hanging in my garage that is too high to jump to and is suspended from rope over cement slab. There I would have to find something to boost me to the right height and time my workout so as not to attempt chin-ups while the garage is stuffy and hot.I chose this particular bar because of the reviews and the length. My doorway pull-up bar is placed in the doorway between my bedroom and bathroom so I see it several times a day and immediately started at least hanging from it. Within a week I could get some 'lift'. It's been about a month since I installed it and I can do one full chin-up from a standing position (I'm 5'9" and the doorway isn't tall enough for me to start from a dead hang, so my elbows are at about a 130-degree angle), no boosts, hops, or rockups from my toes. I'm working towards being able to do sets but I'm not quite there yet. Still, the progress I've made in the past month with this bar has been significantly greater than with other set-ups I've tried.
