I have just bought the 20 Amp ViewStar and am very impressed with the pre-sales technical support from Photonic Universe. The instructions are comprehensive and well laid out, if a little small in booklet form, with an A4 download also available. The packaging is a minimalist cardboard with only essential black printed information, easily recycled.This elegant charger has an LCD display that rotates automatically through most of the screen options and is back lit when interrogated. There are dual level Load timers that can be set, although the default is permanently ON. A temperature sensor is inbuilt, with the option of plugging in an additional external one connecting with the battery, there being 3 distinct type settings to choose from: Sealed (inc. AGM), Gel or Flooded. Two USB ports allow for direct 5VDC/2.4 Amp charging of portable devices from the battery. The screen functions and display are one of the cleanest and clearest on offer, easily trumping cheaper foreign imports.The terminal holes are a decent 4.5 mm diameter (or 10 mm squared, 8 AWG), and in normal positive left and negative right pairs for PV, Battery and Load connections. The markings are a bit difficult to see if you have poor eyesight or are setting up in low light conditions but are definitely now in standard format. Each connection easily accepts two pairs of 2.5mm2 wiring of the size required for a charger of this rating.This controller offers all of the essential data and control required for a 20 Amp rated system and hopefully will last well beyond the 1 year warranty.

Excellent item but be careful when wiring order of connecting has changed to + - not - + as used to be the instructions still show old way of - + so they obviously need updating
