Great No region player! Plays both PAL and NTSC
I have had many cheap or inexpensive players and several have broken. I have 3 kids 2 of which are in the disney movie age range. Those of you with kids knows this means one movie can be watched 10 times in a single week. It plays well and has nice features, even a volume feature on the remote so you dont have to hold both tv and dvd remote at the same time. The Pros:Plays all region dvd's. You may have to tweek the progressive options but this unit will play anything in a true dvr format ( not divx or AVi etc). This is a nice feayure if you order special versons of say english tv shows you enjoy not available here in the states and theyare in PAL format. The cost can't be beat and it is lightweight and very easy to hook up.The Cons:I love this unit except for one thing, the darn remote. You have to be lined up with the machine for it to recognize it, normally a remote will pick up anyplace in a room. Not this one, I guess they made the lil response window too small or something. I just remember to aim the lil unit towards me before the movie starts and problem solved. For the price I wont complain about that, otherwise it is perfect! It is a great lil unit, don't hesitate about buying one. GPX in my opinion works as well as some of these other classic brands. Stay away from Coby products, had 2 die 100% within 6 months...save your money. Hope this is helpful.

Works Perfect
This is a great DVD player. It plays quietly and smoothly and no hiccups even with my older DVDs. The DVDs that didn't play properly in my older player now play perfectly. I'm really happy with this DVD player and it has newer technology which makes it run better than the older DVD players.I didn't like the instructions that came with it because it just showed the yellow, red and white cables that go into the DVD player but didn't explain the differences on the back of the TV and very poor instructions for the use of the remote buttons, so I have no idea the use of multiple buttons.

Bad Product, Keep Searching
After having used this product lightly for almost a year I do not understand why I purchased this over the other competitors in the market. There are so many other models out there from better companies at the same price with better warranties and likely higher quality. I would not recommend this product. The only positive thing I can say about this product is that the up scaling is pretty good.Out of the box the are motors fairly loud and the spindle motor seems to be off axis so it causes a rubbing sound when first spinning up. Once the disc gets up to speed this rubbing sound goes away so I didn't think much off it and it didn't seem to be doing damage to my DVDs so I ignored it. After some time I noticed that the player was turning itself on. Other comments have also complained about this issue. This wouldn't be that annoying if it weren't for the loud motors and rubbing sound. I tried to figure out why this was happening and after plenty of troubleshooting I resigned to keeping the player unplugged until I needed to use it.Today, almost a year after purchasing it and having used it maybe once a month on average (I would consider that light use) it finally broke on me. Seeing as it had no warranty left (only 6 month warranty) I decided to crack it open and see if I could figure out why it stopped. Turns out they use the worlds thinnest rubber band to drive the disc tray opening and closing mechanism and that had snapped. I replaced this with one of my wife's plastic hair ties ($1 for 50) and it works like new. While I was in there I dug around to try and figure out why there was so much sound from this little unit and the whole thing was a mess of poorly made, poorly adhered thin plastic pieces. This is expected from these types of products but this was on a whole other level. I'm honestly surprised this thing even made it to my front door.I would normally say you get what you pay for but this isn't much cheaper (maybe $5 cheaper) than reputable, highly rated alternatives. Don't waste your money. This is not the right purchase.

Good machine, great price, works fine
Since I still have an analog TV, I needed a DVD player w/the cables and this one works fine. The only drawback to this particular brand and model is that the machine doesn't keep where you left off when you put it on hold and turn it off -- like my other 2 different brands of DVD players did. Otherwise, it's fine.

Rita's review
Sometimes I just want to pop in a CD and watch something that I can't find on TV

One and done.
I used this product one time and then did not try it again for a few months. When I went to use it the next time the door did not open and I had a cd in the machine. Very frustrating. Would not buy again🤯

I don't think I can say enough about this cheap ...
I don't think I can say enough about this cheap little dvd player. It is just as described and I got lucky and didn't get a lemon. Yes it's cheap feeling, and yes the remote is tiny but it's also only $25. Here's my take...as long as companies insist on speed over quality, some lemons won't be found out until it's in your home, but this can happen on any electronic device. Just the nature of the beast.I used this extensively and for hours on end and it never heated up, never skipped and played just as well as any higher priced player I've owned. Buttons on remote are small so you may need a magnifying glass until you learn them, and yes, there is a very low hum when started but you can't hear it as all once disk starts.
