No, it's much larger but it will balance on the top of the bin and still work

No it does not have a 5 second countdown display, just red and green lights

Doses this fit a 68liter but our old one takes bigger batteries

Yes, it’s the same size but the new model takes AA batteries. Works even better than the old one.

Can the lid fit 50l rectangle morphy Richards bin??

I cannot answer that question as I am not firmilier with that make of bin.
