Fantastic replacement shell and a perfect dpad to boot
Such a fantastic shell replacement, the dpad alone is absolutely brilliant and the perfect replacement for those ridiculous directional buttons. The install was crazy easy, just slightly fiddly due to the tiny screws and small ribbon cable attachments. Honestly, after the reviews here and the sales description I was expecting a nightmare install but reality was the complete opposite. Each 'Con took less than an hour, going steady and accurately, and the end result was something legitimately indistinguishable from a genuine Nintendo Joycon... except far better looking and feeling :) Also, there were no bulge issues with the right JoyCon either, no need to shave any plastic notches. I'm guessing this is a v2 kit as it even came with a v.good magnetic switchable screwdriver set too.I genuinely couldn't recommend this any harder, it makes such a phenomenal improvement to the functionality of the left JoyCon and the overall aesthetics are much more visually pleasing. I love it, and the price was excellent too. Next step; ExtremeRate Switch shell replacement too ^_^I'd add some photos of the finished product but it won't let me, sorry :/

So glad I made this purchase!
My controlling had started to experience the drifting issue but I have been unable to buy a replacement due to every where being out of stock! I didn’t want to replace them with unofficial controllers as they were a different shape. Although nintendo would fix this issue for me I was going to have to give up my switch for 20 days and at a cost of £80 (more than buying new controllers would cost) even tho these were just the shell I thought I might aswell try for the price and it has completely fixed the drift issue! Although they were very fiddly to take apart and put together it was worth it :)

Worth it if you’re patient
Great looking design and the plastic has a nice soft feel to it. Just bear in mind that it’s not easy to replace joy con shells and I recommend only doing so if you have at least some experience with electronics. Also the screwdrivers included in the set are pretty awful and you’re likely to strip screws with them like I did, so get separate decent philips head and triwing screwdrivers. Took me about 3 hours total...lots of intricate parts and cables. But it’s worth it if you don’t mess it up.

Look good, feel good. Be patient.
Looks great, feels great. These joycons are amazing I'm so happy. It's especially good to add a D-pad to my Switch, I love this. They also have a nice grip to them which is far better than the originals. These are straight forward enough to install if you are very patient and follow a video guide on how to do it.

Get better screwdrivers
Buy a good set of screwdrivers, a screw organiser, and a pair of good tweezers. The philips head screwdriver stripped on the sl sr rail and I ended up reassembling a joycon with a glasses repair kit. Otherwise these have a nice finish and look as good as originals.

Fits my Original Switch Controllers perfectly.
Great new look for my Switch.I used the original internal structure so made it easier to swap over. (I forgot to swap the home button)Might buy the backshell to compliment it.....

Keep away from this ‘bargain’
Remember the old adage “if something seems too good to be true then it probably is”?This is definitely in that category.Do not go anywhere near it. Total disaster

Well designed, nice texture
I had no issues replacing my shell with these. They feel nice in the handsThe replacement buttons feels nice and like the originalsMy only improvement would be for the dpad to have a matt finish

Joycon Replacement!
The media could not be loaded. These joy con shells are amazing! I really like how they came out. First off the buttons with the feel good and so does the dpad. You will have to use OEM rubber pads for the buttons but they feel great! Definitely worth the money if you’re trying to replace your shells!

Look and Feel great, and not as hard to install as most say
This was my first ever experience opening any electronics up, and basically even using a screwdriver aside from a few occasions. I have to say that this process is not nearly as difficult as many people have said. If you are careful, everything should go smoothly. Here are some tips that made it easy for me:1. Use a better set of screwdrivers and get some tweezers2. I found that these screws aren't too bad to work with but be careful not to strip them. I had worse look with the screws on my switch itself then in the joycons. Once you have the Nintendo ones out, switch them with the replacement screws. They strip less easily and are Philip's head.3. Layout tape on a piece of paper in the shape of a joycon (small rectangle). I played out three of those, representing the outer, middle, and bottom layer of the joycon. Each screw I took out was placed on the tape, in the same position that they'd be placed on its respective layer. This helped keep all the screws organized, and made reassembly a breeze.4. One of the difficult parts of this process is fiddling with the delicate ribbon cables. I simply didn't undo any of them, and I unscrewed everything. Once it was all unscrewed, I transferred over all the insides into the shell in one piece. You have to be a little careful moving it. It is also a little harder to work with since you have all the parts dangling around, but I preferred that then dealing with the cables. As for the product itself, it feels very high quality and nice to the touch. It's defintely on par with nintendo's quality. If i saw these at someone else's house, I would believe they were an official nintendo product.

Tricky, but not difficult, to install
These shells fit perfectly. Every tiny little notch from the original joy con shell is perfectly replicated, as well as all the buttons. I LOVE the looks of these and I also really love having a D Pad instead of 4 arrow buttons. It comes with replacement screws and springs, but I just reused the originals which fit perfectly. It also comes with replacements for every button, but the original buttons fit too. I opted to only replace the ABXY and SL/SR buttons with the included purple ones, but they include all of the buttons except for the rear latch release. The shoulder buttons they include are black, not purple.Installation took a combined two and a half hours for both; most of that time is plugging in the tiny ribbons and delicately pulling out components that are stuck on with tape. You WILL need tools for this; it will be very difficult to do with just the included screwdrivers. I purchased a joystick replacement kit which came with curved tweezers, a separating pick, and a plastic spudger. Replaced the joystick at the same time since the stock Nintendo ones tend to develop drift over time. Just don't yank on anything and you won't cause damage. Just be confident and mark the screws you remove well.

Great look and feel, nice customized touch, recommend seeing a professional to instal
I love the way these look, and love the way they feel like official Nintendo Joy-Cons. They’re strong, beautifully done, and give the left controller a much needed d-pad. That said, these are not “easy to install”. I watched a few videos and decided that this is not at all what I want to try my hand at tinkering with. I took it to my local electronics repair store and they were happy to do it for me (and include a warranty should they fail). Overall, they make the joy-cons unique and fun. My friends with switches were thoroughly impressed with them!If you are a professional/talented DIYer, go for it!If you have access to a professional, go for it!If you have never done something like this before, go for it (at your own risk)!
