Worth the money. Pinout is on the manual. No feedback out of the box.
I actually didn't buy this unit for its original design. I'm swapping in a servo motor with an encoder. The unit is only wired to the motor. On the "manual" the second diagram is how it is wired. There is no direct feedback built into the device. You would have to work directly with the supplier for that. That being said the hardware is of good quality. I actually got a slightly different unit that has the necessary holes for putting in a homing pin. I only need to figure out where the pin is. Backlash is definitely well within their spec. If you adjust the screws a little bit to make it bind a little more you can have near backlash free operation. In that you have to choose speed or accuracy. I need accuracy.Good product. Don't expect a work out the box design unless you only need something that spins. You have to put your own homing in. It is an open stepper system unless you add your own encoder to it. That being said it is solid. It's standard NEMA 17 so there are plenty of options and the build is pretty forgiving to take apart. I'm happy.

A little too bulky, but it improves the stability
The base is a bit bulky. Hard to mount it on other movable bases. But it does provide good stability

Not following program
I connect it to a driver and control it with a Arduino uno use c plus coding the motor paired with a button. I want it to rotate in only 1 direction and stop but each press of the button it reverses direction randomly not following protocol.

Perfect 100%
Sounds like R2D2 when I push a fast stepper acceleration and its the most beautiful sound I ever heard.

Works as advertised.
No issues. Works well.

Nice motor, but cannot find pinout for home/zero switch!!

Sturdy robust and cost effective little unit - DB9 pin-out included in this comment
This little motor unit is compact and sturdy. Simple to use. It's a nice touch that the 'home' sensor is built in instead of a value add.For those that are interested the stepper pin out on the DB9 connector is as follows:Pin 1(+) - 4(-) = Diode Vf = 2.57V (suspect this is LED emitter)Pin 4(+) - 5(-) = Diode VF = 795mV (suspect this is a photodiode)Pin 6 - 7 = motor winding 1A/1BPin 8 - 9 = motor winding 2A/2B
