Really tiny, really convenient, and I don't know how I lived without one for so long. With a decent 256GB microSD card being less than £15 now, with this little thing it's like having a whole SSD worth of storage in half a little finger sized portable device directly readable by any decent pc or mac. Essential and amazing value. Can't fault it. The only thing is everything is so small you have to keep it in a bag to stop it from being lost in pockets or the sands of time.

Exactly what was required - really not much bigger than the actual microsd card itself..In real world case the performance is very suitable and not seeing any bottlenecks.. However with CrystalDiskMark and a range of differing cards and using on a USB 3.1 gen2 hub I couldn't get both reported speeds (R/W) - it either reaches the R speed or the W speed but not both.. TBH its not a biggie..Recommended..

I'm really happy about spotting this MicroSD USB Reader/Adapter while picking up a 256GB MicroSD card for our new Dashcam!I just received both (cheers to Amazon Prime for delivering on Easter Sunday).This Adapter even works through my recently purchased USB to USB-C OTG connector, on my oldish Android phone!There was another version sporting the USB-C connector directly which I would probably have picked up instead, if I wasn't going to also use it on our PC/Mac.Both the access and transfer speeds are massively improved. Without side by side comparisons I'm just guessing it must be due to the USB 3 massively increased transfer speed up to 4.8Gbps, compared to the older USB 2 standard @480Mbps max.Just wow, I'm delighted... A total no-brainer purchase!

Works as should

This microSD card reader is one of the fastest I've owned to date. I've tried others, but have to find one faster than this.All I will say is if your card isn't recognised when plugging it into your computer, unplug it, take the microSD card out the slot and blow any possible dirt or dust out from the slots, then try again. If you treat this reader too gently, it might not always detect your microSD cards.
