Sacred Hags Oracle: Visionary Guidance for Dreamers, Witches, and Wild Hearts Cards – March 9, 2021

When I heard the great Danielle Dulsky was creating an oracle deck, I was overjoyed and waited with anticipation. Danielle's work is empowering and transformative, and the Sacred Hags Oracle deck is no different. The potent illustrations by Janine Houseman complement Danielle's words beautifully, and the result is powerful. The guidebook and cards are housed in an unfolding book-like box, inviting one to create and weave their own powerful myths. The card "suits" are split up into four categories: Sacred Hags, Seasons, Stories, and Spells. The guidebook provides a wealth of suggestions for working with the cards, but I find one can also dive into the imagery intuitively, and discover what the cards have to say on their own. What I love the most about Danielle's work is that everything she does is a genuine invitation to explore further in the way that feels most aligned to your own practice. She promotes self-discovery and blazing your own path, providing encouraging words for your journey. This oracle is a powerful tool in that endeavor, and I very much look forward to learning from its wisdom--- and through this process, tapping into my own.

My deck arrived today and I have been spending time getting to know the cards and imbuing them with my own energy. This is a beautiful deck with so much depth and meaning. I love the 4 suits and the many different ways that the suits can be used. Each card has a message and rituals that can be done in order to go deeper with the card and the message.The sigils on the card are also meaningful and powerful. The companion book is bigger than most oracle deck books and it includes rituals to consecrate and dedicate our oracle deck to ourselves. I have several oracle decks but this feels like on that I will be able to build a deep connection with. I highly recommend this deck to any body wanting to go deep into their own myth and magick.

Like others, I found this to be a beautiful deck, but straight out of the box it gave me a personal gift. My husband was drawn to it upon my unboxing, and he typically steers clear of oracle cards and the like. He asked if I would draw a card for him—the Blood of the Warrioress reminds us that sacrifice is needed for manifestation. This led us into the depths discussing the sacrifices we each made over the years and the beautiful gifts that grew out of them. There was a richness in that conversation that we don’t always have in the hustle and bustle of daily life. Many thanks to the Hag for encouraging us to slow down and step into deep time together.

This oracle deck is a witch’s inspired vision! An amalgamation of dark and light inner visions, raspy Hag cackles from the fire, the chill of the midnight dew, and many, many moons. I feel at home in this deck. The oracle is blessed with exquisite, alive art that standing alone tells many stories, laced with sigils and symbols and divinity. The book is richly written with stories and songs, practical daily magic, and rinsed in spirit. Blessed be. The Sacred Hags Oracle is a gift for all seeking support, magic, and inspiration.

I just received this beautiful deck yesterday, and it's practically perfect. The artwork and images are stunning and powerful, the accompanying book is fantastic--so much to explore. I really look forward to working with this deck, and I can tell I will love it and get a ton out of it. My one minor criticism is the quality of the card stock--a little disappointing to me. The design of the box/packaging and the quality of the book is great, though, with color illustrations and quality paper.

I love the art, concept, writing, the entire energy of this deck. It called to me and I am so glad I answered. However, there are a few issues in my opinion. As others have mentioned, the cardstock sucks. For the price of these babies, it's disappointing that this is probably the cheapest, worst option for the cards. The box also sorely needs a magnetic closure. Needing to split the deck in half to store it in the box is also weird and annoying. And as much as I love Danielle Dulsky's writing, I think the book is lacking more practical or direct descriptions for reading the cards, at least in addition to what is written. I know that I could not recommend this deck to my friends because they wouldn't understand how to interpret what is written for the cards. All in all, this deck is not for everyone, but I have been attached to it since the moment I got it. I'm just really bummed that knowing I will use it regularly means that it will not last very long because oh my god, this cardstock, WHY lol
