Not what I expect but we’re pleased
Really disappointed in the quality. I justify paying their prices because their quality is usual awesome and I know they will last through all of my children playing with them. This set I don’t think will last very long through one child. Unfortunately he saw the package and we opened it together and he was too excited and started counting the items. There were only two peaches in the can so I’m waiting for a replacement. I also ordered a pot and pan set that were not the quality I expect from learning resources but I paid significantly less for that so I’m not too upset about it. The price for these counting cans even marked down was pretty high. But with the 100+ other food items we have by then I was willing to pay the high price especially because the counting aspect of it and they’re all plant food unlike the alphabet set that has animal products. But it is not the same quality the other food items are. The cans are not very sturdy so I’m not sure how long they’ll last either. This might would be better for an older age limit and while supervised to insure the products don’t get ruined.Update: after several months of regular pay they have held up just fine. We pull them out for educational play, sorting, matching and counting. The pieces have withstood the occasional toddler gnawing and the cans are sturdy enough to survive toddlers pressing the lids back on.We have half a dozen learning resources sets with well over 200+ pieces and even though we initially were skeptical of this set we are very pleased with their products. They can be pricey but they regularly mark down sets either way they are well worth it.

Fun way to count
My grandsons were static with this product and had fun playing with the cans and vegetables. When it came time to clean up they had fun counting the food and putting it in the right cans to make sure they were all picked up

I hate that we bought it
I really hate the price of this toy. It’s not any fancy durable plastic pretend food. The containers are more durable than I thought they would be which is nice. But why is it so expensive? All this to say, my kids LOVE these. I took a while to buy them because the price really is off putting but this toy is one of our well played with toys in our kids kitchen. And it’s just a plus that they can practice counting. Would I ever give these as a gift? No. Would I ever recommend buying these? No. do I regret buying them? No.Do with what you will with that information. But, maybe wait for it to go on sale.

Cute idea
I got these at a discounted price. They are very pricy not on same. But I had been waiting for them to go on sale and when they did go on sale I ordered them. They are super cute. I do wish they were more durable because I am using them for play therapy but I wanted them for the kitchen.

Great for play kitchens
My daughter LOVES these. She uses them every day. She has loads of play food for her kitchen, but prefers using these to "cook." She loves to empty things and put them back in the container....check. She loves to count....check. She loves to mix things and have a variety of things on a plate...check. They store nicely and *bonus* they look super cute in her "pantry."
