I can't get this to work. Have tried 3 brands of batteries. Have depressed the key as far as possible. Any suggestions?

Just a couple of ideas: 1. If you on use one pair of red and black leads, don't let the other two touch each other. 2. You may have to take the back off and adjust the metal clips that the key makes contact. Mine were slightly loose. 3. I know you said you pushed the key in, but it has to go very far in to make contact.

Can the PS II launch controller be used with small engines and rockets?

Oh yes, this is an excellent Heavy Duty launch controller good for any model rocket or Mid Power rocket.

Can this ignite 4 engines simultaneously?

Yes. It has two pairs of micro clips and colored wires (red = + / black = -), such that you can light-off two igniters with each pair of micro clips. The launch controller comes with a wiring diagram for doing clusters. This controller is much better than the smaller rinky-dink Estes controllers. Hope this helps. Happy flying!!

Is it tough? I am getting tired of launch controllers dying mid-launch with my classes.

I don't get many chances for launches, but I can say that this controller is good. It is far more reliable than the smaller controllers, because of the igniter current available from all the batteries.
