I use this for my glassblowing. its a good burner and is pretty good sized.

Out with the old in with the new
This replaced an older one that I had let the flame get too hot which caused the screen to fail prematurely.The base on this one is nice and sturdy. The valve at the bottom turned readily and it has worked well the couple of times I've used it.I am paying more attention to the flame color now and I'm not going to let this get too hot. So I anticipate a long time of use.All told it does everything I need it to do.

Might as well buy a camping stove
Seriously, I remember meker burners putting out some serious heat. It took this thing a good 30 seconds to melt plastic. I don’t know if I am just lucky and got the defective one or what but with the air needle fully open and the gas fully opened I could have done more in less time with my gas stove.

Works fine at high setting
Works fine at high setting. It does blow out frequently at low setting. Have to turn off gas and wait for a while before re igniting. Not as hot as described.
