An amazing read!
“Everything’s a game, Avery Grambs. The only thing we get to decide in this life is if we play to win.”Avery Grambs has a plan for a brighter future: get through high school, obtain a scholarship, and live the life of any other mundane 16 year old. But in a bolt out of the blue Avery is shocked to find that she has inherited $46 billion from Tobias Hawthorne, a billionaire. What's the catch? Avery doesn't know why, or who Tobias Hawthorne is. She must move into the huge, hidden passage-filled Hawthorne House to claim her inheritance, where every room retains the old man's flair- his love of games, riddles, and codes.Unfortunately for Avery, Hawthorne House is also home to the family that Tobias Hawthorne just dispossessed . The four Hawthorne grandchildren are among them: dangerous, charismatic, brilliant boys who grew up with the expectation of inheriting billions one day.Avery will have to play the game herself to survive in a world of wealth and power, with danger lurking around every corner. This book is chock-full of riddles, mysteries, puzzles, gimmicks, and more. All of which are aimed towards addressing the question that pops up in all our minds, Why Avery?Set in the intriguing world of Texas millionaires, this gripping story provides ample enjoyment. Overall, this book felt like a massive game of Clue to me, and as a reader, I was keen to help the characters solve the mystery. The Inheritance Games is an addictively twisted and enthralling nonstop roller coaster ride which is impossible to put down. Traps upon traps. And riddles upon riddles.

Amazing book to read, worth the price
The book is really well written and exciting to read. Once you start reading it is difficult to stop. Only issue I had is that a few of the pages had small stains on the top but otherwise no issues. Highly recommend this book for people over the age of 13

Worth buying
I bought it for my daughter in her summer vacation so she can read the book in her kindle and not get bored. After she read it, she told me that "It's a wonderful book mom! It is filled with mystery and a lot of riddles for which any person would have to think about and it certainly has a lot of games!" Also, do read the "The Hawthorne Legacy."

A must read for those who likes their thrillers with puzzles and riddles
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5The inheritance games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is the first book in the series. Avery, a teenager, unexpectedly inherits a billionaire’s fortune. To claim it, she must solve puzzles and riddles left behind by the late Tobias Hawthorne, all while dealing with his disinherited family, including four enigmatic grandsons. It’s filled with twists, secrets, and high-stakes mind games.First of all, this is not my usual genre. I mostly read cute, rom com, toe curling stuff. To my surprise, I loved it! It is so engaging that, once you start it, you would struggle to put it down! Each and every character in this story is so interesting, that you won't ever get confused about who is who at any time in the story. It doesn't matter how small a character is, you won't be able to brush them away! And the puzzles and riddles... OMG! You will find yourself trying to solve the mysteries with Avery! The inheritance games is an engaging mystery thriller, apt for any age group (irrespective of it being young-adult).
