This provided hours of fun for the kids. Educational. I loved the variety in each geode. The quality was great. The geodes were a good size so the kids didn’t hammer their fingers. Each geode was so unique and beautiful. Great value for the cost!

Perfect little Christmas gift for a little guy who loves rocks! There are so many, great value for the price, and it's a blast to watch him smash them and find the pretty inside. Would recommend!

The media could not be loaded. Bought these for the kids. Already open 1/2 of them. Very pretty.I used a small piece of granite curbstone that was cut Square. I used two hammers there were actually upholstery hammers. I placed the rock on the piece of granite, covered it with a piece of fleece or sweatshirt fabric. The first one I hit too hard and it shattered in many pieces. After that, I just tapped it gently to get larger pieces! I plan to wire wrap them after I file off the shop edges and add some additional crystals! I am pleased with them, however I did expect to have a little bit of color with some of them. They are very dusty and dirty so you might want to brush them off first I didn’t and I regret it also be careful with your hands cause some of the crystals splinter like very sharp pieces of glass. I would Definitely safety glasses, and a vinyl glove, the black kind that the car mechanics use. Overall, I’m very pleased!So far the variety wasn’t vast. All of the ones that I open so far are white inside with tiny crystals. I think it’s a great educational project for children. If you buy the books about rocks and how geodes are created. The sale price I paid for the small ones was a great value For my money!I can’t stop singing “hi ho hi ho off to work I go! “🎶🎼🎶

Used these as gifts for a class of second graders. They loved it! Had them take them home and open them with an adult. Recommend putting them in a sock and tapping them gently with a hammer. The sock was able to contain the messiness. The key is to tap them just hard enough to break them, but not to shatter the whole thing. They were beautiful and the kids and parents were very happy with them. Some stones were bigger than others. Not all the same size. They were very nice quality.

By far the best part of the birthday party goody bag. Not plastic junk and exciting for the kids. Definitely recommend!

Many of the geodes were solid. The amount of crystallization was unsatisfactory in several of the samples. They were still fun to break open but the end product was a bit disappointing.

Bought these for an Easter party, they were a hit for kids ages 2-17 (even parents). One was a dud but all others had crystals inside. I would say these were the highlight of the rock collections the kids created from the Easter egg hunt.
