Is this the same as play foam

I would say play foam and monkey foam are the same type of product. I do disagree that the tiny pellets stick only to themselves. It can actually be a fairly fun but messy product. I purchased for 3 year old and have now put it away for a later age.

does it come out of the carpet?

It is really hard to get out of carpet, depending on how pushed into the carpet it is.

Can you play with it in the bath?

No, I wouldn’t do that. It’s not made for water.
