Reliable
Works as expected. This is the second Imp 2 in my recording/live equipment. Reliable passive DI.

Very useful gadget
I bought this to send signal from a guitar to a mixing board about 110 feet away. It worked without any degradation and the signal was more than clean enough for recording. Low impedance XLR output makes it easy to hook up. I didn't need to use the ground lift switch so far, but it's nice to have the feature in case of any buzzing. The parallel high impedance output is a useful feature if you also need to send the signal to a nearby amp or processor at the same time.The body of the box is really solid; I don't see it getting damaged easily. This thing is definitely worth the cost.

An awesome way to improve your sound for the price
Relatively cheap and easy way to improve sound quality for any instruments (guitar and bass especially) by converting an instrument signal into a mic signal (through xlr). Sounds cleaner and less noisy. Everything is great, 4/5 stars on sturdiness because it does feel rather light for its size. Doesn’t diminish its function.

pretty good but no output level change switch
This is one of the whirlwind DI products. Unique thing is that it doesn't have output level change switch to -20dB or -40dB. I think this product is fixed at -20dB as standard. I am not sure how this product is designed for better quality with fixed output level but its price is pretty higher than that of Whirlwind EDB1. This product($39.99) has no defect as they advertised on their web but I recommend if you want to save money "whirlwind EDB1"($28.77) is better; if you want better quality "Whirlwind director Passive DI"($59.95) is good. This product is between and I don't know its quality. Returning was cumbersome and it works so I am using but next time I will choose one of those two I recommended. That is why I gave 4 star.
