National Registry Paramedic Prep: Study Guide + Practice + Proven Strategies (Kaplan Test Prep)

Used this and Pocket Prep to study, nothing else. I found it so helpful how it condensed everything into just the need-to-know and took out all the fluff. Using is in conjunction with practice tests showed that it really contained the stuff that gets tested on. Worth every penny, even just for the slight confidence going into the NREMT!

Buy this for the nation review. If I could give this book 10 stars I would. Passed my NREMT the first time with this. Such a great review of everything I learned in Medic school. My only complaint is not buying it sooner, I wish I would have bought this as a reference and study guide when I started P1 and used it all through medic school.

Book arrived well ahead of delivery date so that was nice.Book is simple to understand and explains things easily and isn’t long winded. A must for studying before the National registry test.The back has all the drugs in a simple and easy to understand format which is nice to study. Almost in a flash card type format.Highly recommend for new students going through paramedic school.

So I have a hard copy and a digital book of this book. I'm going through a Paramedic Course at the moment and noticed that It breaks down the 5 course books that I actually had to buy for my class into just this one. The break down is great, it doesn't have all the information that my course books do but It seems to have to the important information about them. It gives you the information in a plain simple manner where as my acutally course books are full of fluff and over-exaggerated information to the point they repeat themselves. Not with this book and I enjoy the simple here's your information that you need to know and nothing else. The reason I ended up giving it 4 stars though it's because this book did forget to put down information for some reason. For example when I got to Chapter 5 in the section of Cardiac Tamponade I noticed that it started giving the info for it in SAMPLE and OPQRST format but they didn't answer the Quality and Radiation parts. They started by giving the questions of what to ask but they forgot to answer them and give you the info so you could know what to look for.

A must have!

I normally do not leave reviews…..I know I’m a horrible person. But I want to give hope to either career Medics and those who just graduated…if you read and do the work you’ll pass. This book made me look at the questions from a whole new perspective. I also recommend the app Paramedic Pass. It is a great tool. Best of luck and wishes to all those about to take the new National. It’s different but not as bad as others have made it sound.
