does this unit replace a tektone ir 207? Is the ringer a buzzer, a bell, two tone?

I had a system that I had no information for it was a 4 wire system and I swapped it out and it worked I thinks it will work on any 4 wire system as long as you have the 3 functions very easy to wire

My electrician is talking me out of using this unit. He is stating it's garage and will not last. Is your unit still working since your purchase?

Mine lasted about 5 years. The switches always go out and they're board mounted so you have to replace the entire unit. I am going to try the TekTone IR104E this time.

can I use a 3404 with a Jeron 5025 controller

Unless you know exactly how to wire the system, you shouldn't try. You should use a Jeron 2001 station, or a Pacific AF1000 along with the 3404.
