Nearly 3 years and still fine
I bought these in 2020. I assumed they would last long enough to get my $12 out of them. The only complaint after all this time and use- is the box could be better. The space above the dividers is large enough to let the 2 small sizes float around inside the box. A piece of 1/4" poly packing foam hot glued to the lid fixed that permanently. I was impressed with their appearance when they first arrived. They looked well made. They seemed sharp with good concenticity. I've since used them many many times over the 3 years I've had them. I use them in the drill press, mill, and lathe. I've used them mostly as they're intended in steel, aluminum, and some stainless, that is- as center drills. I have used them to countersink a few times in aluminum. They are still sharp and intact. With appropriate feed rate (which is SLOW at the start- let them do their thing) they don't skip or skate, even on stainless. One of the best buys I've ever made in tooling. Worth far more than the $12 I paid for them.

Decent Product
As a Tool & Die Maker, I found these to be cost effective for my needs. I use them for soft materials - aluminum, plastic & wood. They work fine for these materials. I have not used them in harder materials. The plastic case is nice and the finish on the center drills is acceptable. They are sharp and have to problem starting in the materials I described. All in all, they are a decent set of center drills for the amount of money paid.

Good product. Good price.
I drilled over180 holes in 50 ksi steel with a cheapo drill press on NOT very well fixtured material. Went through 3/16 thk A588 structural steel with a small chamfer, about half. Drill press chattered too much on the chamfer to continue to the full dia.Worked well enough that when the tips broke off both ends I bought another set to get the size 4 I needed. I probably had over 170 holes drill when the 2nd tip snapped.Interestingly when I tried to drill a horizontal hole with a cordless drill with the size 5 it wouldn't bite; I had to switch over to the size 4. Too bad, I have 44 more holes to drill by hand and if the #5 would work I wouldn't need to finish drill to size! Both orders came in a divided plastic snap lid storage container.

Impressive center drill for mild steel
I'm impressed with how well the center drills have worked on my lathe. I've used them mostly on mild steel and some aluminum. They work so well with my lathe I decided to get a second set for my drill press so I don't need to borrow from the lathe tool set when I'm at the drill press. After lots of holes in mild steel they still seem as sharp as ever. I find that I generally use the number three the most. That just seems to be a convenient size for tail support as well as most drilling starts.

Looks great
all are sharp and look well made, if they last as good as they look, they are a great value for the money spent

Sure are dull
Just bought these to help create starter holes in aluminum I need to drill so as to avoid some chatter from some of my drill bits that have a hard time unless they have a pilot hole to start with. These center drills are quite dull and takes some effort to get even the pilot to drill into the aluminum.
