I gave this product 4 stars because it is a very good product if, and when, it works for you, and you have a confirmed hypo thyroid issue.This supplement worked wonders for my father. It seemed to get his thyroid working better after the stresses of law school that created his exhausted thyroid issue.I've had thyroid issues, or so I was told, for years now. I began taking this thyroid supplement years ago and it seemed the initial effects were wonderful and then the wonderful turned into terrible. At first I lost weight and bloating and my mood was better and it seemed I wasn't so tired all the time. It was doing it's job perfectly. After about 3 weeks of use I gained an alarming amount of weight in just a week, 10 lbs to be exact. I hadn't been that heavy since I was 6 months pregnant, and the swiftness of the weight gain made me really scared that something was incredibly wrong. I decided rather than going to the doctor I would just double the amount I was taking, maybe it meant that my thyroid was really stressed. Well...that made everything worse. I started getting terrible water retention and the weight wouldn't go anywhere even with vigorous workouts. Actually, those seemed to make it worse somehow. Finally, I decided to stop taking the supplement just to see if maybe it was the culprit. I was right, it seemed that something in this supplement was NOT what I needed.With the incredible lack of research into most herbs there is very little information about natural supplements and their effects on people. Because we are all so different in our chemical makeup there is never a way to really know what will happen after taking a product, but proper research and access to information would be enormously helpful. My doctor had nothing to say about this product or any of its contents because she didn't have the knowledge relating to natural or herbal supplements.People are so quick to say "check with your doctor before taking any medications" well the honest truth of the matter is most doctors have no idea what these medication will do or how they interact with other meds. Herbs are powerful and should garner the same respect as any other medicine out there, and this is not just from the consumer, but also from the medical industry itself resulting in proper research of their effects. I am annoyed that I couldn't find any information on the net about my issue with any of these herbs. My last resort was to set up an appointment with a naturopathic doctor, which was a complete waste of time and an incredible amount of money spent on a 15 minute meeting that garnered zero knowledge. Oh yeah...NO! speaking to the company is not the thing to do because they will not be able to diagnose ANYTHING in customer service. That is like asking customer service at wal mart to explain the inner workings of your computer, they can sell it to you, but Geek Squad they are not unless you are extraordinarily lucky.<<<<<<UPDATE>>>>>>>Since I wrote this review I decided to get the skinny on my supposed thyroid issue. I went to another doctor and have a full blood panel done to see what was really going on. When I was diagnosed with a thyroid issue they did a saliva test. Turns out my thyroid is functioning just fine. So I cannot stress enough to please have a verified hypothyroid disorder or at least be really sure you do before trying this product. Otherwise it works great.

I have been feeling burned out for years. I had a child at 43, and in spite of being in shape and exercising regularly, eating well and not abusing my body, the stress of taking care of a child and working full time has taken a toll on my ability to handle stress. I was not aware that this was something I could fix; no one really tells you how to do that, beyond the obvious "eat well, get enough sleep, drink water, exercise, etc." I would wake up in the morning and often just want to go back to sleep, and when I did get up, rarely did I have energy. At 57, I thought "this is it, this is what it feels like to be old." Which is pretty depressing.After doing a lot of research, I read about the symptoms of thyroid and adrenal disfunction, and I had most of the symptoms. My eyebrows were practically non-existent, and my hair has been thinning for years on top of my head. Recently this has been getting worse, and my energy level has dropped significantly, which is not good because it was bad enough to begin with. I have aches and pains and just walking up the stairs makes me feel like I want to lay down and take a nap once I reach the top. I have low blood pressure, and standing quickly made me dizzy and faint. I started taking Thyroid Support this past week, along with the Adrenal Support, and I feel so, so, SO much better. I sleep better (though I do take Seriphos for sleep, which was helping for that before I started taking this and the Adrenal Support, but I've had issues with sleep for years anyway), and I think the combination of all of these supplements are the answer to my prayers. I have so much more energy, I feel happy and calm inside, I can walk up stairs and not feel like I'm a hundred years old. I can't tell you how great it is to have found the answer to so many physical problems. Highly, highly recommended.

I have always had trouble losing weight. I played college basketball for four seasons and never lost a pound. I currently work our 5-6 days a week and eat a vegan diet. I was extremely frustrated and had begun to suspect that something bigger was at play. I started looking up hypothyroid symptoms and fit most of them, especially the dry skin and the sluggish afternoons. I began with another thyroid product but wanted something more natural. I AM SO GLAD I SWITCHED! I could never understand how people could ever forget to eat. I constantly felt ravenously hungry and would think about food between meals. After one day taking these capsules I forgot to think about food. I had energy to keep going and when I ate I felt satisfied and energized instead of sluggish.I have stopped having to lotion my skin two-three times a day just to stop itching. My skin is still on the dry side but I used to be miserable with how itchy my skin would get halfway through the day. After being on a weight loss plateau for about five years I lost about five pounds in three weeks. My body now craves food when it actually needs energy instead of needing a constant supply like it did in the past.My biggest suggestion is not to take 2 capsules at the same time as the bottle suggests. I have only done that twice and both times for about two hours I felt like I was on a caffeine high. What I prefer to do is take one capsule in the morning after breakfast and one in the afternoon. I have taken 3 a day spaced out as well and that worked fine too.
