The extractor kit worked for my particular situation.
Snapped a Grade 8 bolt off from over-torquing (my fault). Even after reading some of the negative reviews, I took a chance and purchased the Craftsman Spiral Screw Extractor kit. I didn’t expect they would work.After carefully and slowly drilling a hole in the center of the broken bolt, being sure to use plenty of lubricant, I picked the properly sized extractor. I gave it a couple of gentle taps with a hammer to get it to bite, then I started the extraction. I was pleasantly surprised when the bolt started moving and it eventually came all the way out.

Keep in your tool bag.
A must-have tool. I bought this "just in case" and I've already used it twice, and I would have used it a third time if I had had it in my tool bag. Now it goes in my bag.

They work if you use them correctly
Well I've not use these bad babies yet but I can tell ya 1 things about em, they come with instructions and they were also a little late getting to me. Other than that it's all good!

Not good quality at all
What a horrible set. The 2 smallest bits have such small and rounded square area, one you should be grabbing it by and turning, that it is very close to a cylinder, can't grab by that area, making 2 smallest bits useless.Overall, the whole idea is useless. You drill into a broken bolt stem then use these screws, when they go in, they widen the stem and push in a way where the stem jams even more. I think the thread is too close together too.

A well-built extractor set with case included
It does the job it needs to, and has a reasonable warranty on it. The Craftsman name brand is a decent one and these work well for their intended job. My favorite part is that it came with a case to help organize them in my toolbox.
