My 2005 Jetta failed the inspection and my mechanic said (after clearing the engine light) that I should drive the car for 20 min highway and 20 local. We've tried that the whole day but out of three lights on his device only 1 went away. Next day the light engine came back. These are steps that you have to follow so that your car's computer can start measuring all the parameters needed for the test. Driving cycles are not exact science but I tried to follow the instructions as much as I could and after just 20 minutes (10min city and 10min highway) ALL the parameters were set and I passed the emission test with flying colors! So, just before you give a comment about CRC like "tried and didn't work" be aware that there are other things you have to take into account.

I had the check engine on because on my 150,000miles car and this worked perfectly to clean exhaust system. Very economic solution and easy to use. Car is still running without issues

Engine light is still on even after used more than 3 full tanks. It said on the box. there will be double money back if light doesn't go off. It helps to pass inspection. I should be getting my double money back since it did not work it should be. Please respond.

My 1997 Chevrolet Venture minivan failed the California smog test for the first time due to high NOx emissions. Doing a search on the internet I found the likely causes to be a clogged or sticky EGR valve, upstream O2 sensor and carboned combustion chambers. The EGR valve and upstream O2 sensor are both the original parts so I cleaned the EGR valve which was a little sticky and replaced the upstream O2 sensor. Lastly, I added a bottle of CRC Emissions Test Formula to the gas tank when it was half full and followed the rest of the instructions on the box. Passed the retest with NOx reduced by 50% from the original readings and HC also reduced. Not sure what the main contributor was in getting a pass for the 2nd smog test but I think a bottle of the CRC Formula was worth it as an added measure especially considering CRC's double your money back guarantee.

I have an 03 Corolla. Just this year my check engine light popped up. Code p0420. I wanted to try this product just because I didn’t want to spend money on a new cat. This product does advertise that it’ll pass smog and help with a p0420 code. From the reviews it looks like most people were happy with the outcome. Others had no luck. I wasn’t sure myself. Anyways, I followed the directions on the box. And it passed! It also claims to improve performance and I agree, I think my car’s performance did improve. I don’t think it’s the proper/permanent fix to a p0420, but it helped me pass smog.

I have had problems getting a sticker before so I tried this . It worked great and I passed emissions first try . Followed directions. Easy to use and very happy !!

My old 2003 Mercedes Ml 350 would not pass emissions in NY. Bought this and said a prayer!!!Used as directed. Immediately after adding the product with the gas I could feel the engine running smoother but thought it could just be my imagination! followed the instructions on driving the vehicle. Went for the inspection today and mechanic told me diagnostic reading were all good! Actually I almost couldn’t believe it! Will use this product again in a year before going for my next yearly inspection!
