Improved Design
We had the previous model for about 3 years and the latch started acting up because of the hook trip design. This new model has a round trip that won’t wear out and the mounting screws are longer so more secure. The double keypad is not necessary for us but it allows a solid spindle (the old model had a bifurcated spindle) keeping the rigidity. You need to read all of the installation manual, move the handles out of shipping mode, and make sure the small arrow points toward the hinges, also don’t over tighten.

Gate finally completed and now lock doesn’t work
I had a custom iron walk-through gate built and I had to purchase the lock early so they could have it fitted. Now have the lock installed for one week and now it doesn’t work. The latch does not come out completely to relatch the gate you have to fiddle with it for it to pop back out, of course now I’m past the return date since I bought early for fitment looked online and there is no information on manufacture. Do not buy.

Outstanding!
I had several reservations about purchasing a mechanical lock. However this lock is amazing. It is very well made, quite heavy and the buttons were very easy to push. It also is nice to have a feature where you can close the door, but not lock it. Overall this greatly exceeded my expectations.

Install is challenging! Need a saw…
I really like these types of locks and have three around my house but the ones without the full door handle. I bought this one for a gate where I really need a full handle. Yes it is adjustable to various door widths but to use it on any door depth smaller than the largest size you will need to have a saw to shorten the two mounting screws (which thankfully are scored for this). The biggest pain is shortening the spindle: it is a square piece of metal that has no markings/scorings to cut. Make sure you have a good Vice and appropriate saw. Way more challenging to install than other versions of the lock that I have bought in the past.

Only double keypad I could find to fit 2.75" thick gate frame.
Waiting for delivery, and will review after installation. The important thing at this point is that it will accommodate the thickness of my gate frame.Only one I have found that will.UPDATE:Have received, and impressed with solid construction and finish. Also pleased with the feature that allows you to select 'normal' operation where the code is not required when you want to enter and exit without entering code each time. Simply press the 'Y' button after initial code entry and turning handle. Return to 'lock on close' mode by pressing 'C' button.Instructions are a bit of a puzzle for the 'Spindle and Latch Fixing Aid' section. The illustration shows two views that indicate 'Left and Right Hand Door' installations (viewed from the outside of the door). These drawings show a view from the outside of the door, but indicate the hinges are on the wrong side.If correct, the handle should point toward the hinges. If installed as per these instructions, the handles would strike the outer door frame.See photo attached to determine your application.Another bit of confusion is the statement about the 'spindle', that the 'spring' should face the 'front keypad panel'. A clearer term would be 'Outside', not front. The inside panel is where access to the mounting screws are located. Will update the install experience soon.

It Does Not Work Properly!
I needed the lock to replace another lock that is broken for my door gate adjacent to the front door. I have construction going on and need a reliable lock that can be locked open or both sides locked. This lock is designed to do, but it cannot! I installed it and uninstalled it six times. It really won't function on both sides. I have to return it and get something else, sadly.

Read the instructions several times !!
Like so many items its important to read the instructions thru several times prior to installation. Once I got it figured out i liked it.
