Easy, good tasting
Product came in with directions of how to make. Have to add yeast , no biggy. Made this for the 1st time and was quick and easy. Made min donuts for a party and topped with various topping. Mixed as directed, let rest and rolled out 1/4-1/2 inch thick. Donuts then proofed again almost doubling in size. Fried them in a pot of hot oil. Glazed and topped. Yummy. Everyone loved them. I speed up the process by adding warm water since I needed them quick. Not hot or it may kill the yeast.Good luck, highly recommend them. Yummy!

Delicious!
This is a great size for a family to have, as it is supposed to make 90 donuts, which is more than enough to go around several times at our house. It works well to try half of the mix, as donuts always taste best when they are fresh, and I never have good luck in freezing them. I love to make special things from scratch at certain times of the year, but I don't want to take the time to do it all the time. Making homemade donuts is fun anytime, and this takes most of the stress and mess out of buying all of the ingredients that I usually don't have on hand. I haven't found anyone who doesn't love these donuts.I would recommend tasting the dough before baking, as you might want to add more sugar than what's in this. In fact, when I look at the ingredients, I don't even see that sugar has been added. Fortunately, I always have sugar on hand, so that's an easy fix. This mix is shelf-stable, easy to find, fun to make, a little time consuming because of the need for the dough to rise, and delicious donuts are a result.

Doughnut mix
I had a little trouble with it possibly bc I put it in a smaller donut ring- to me it was not a good taste, but I found when I don’t feel well- my cooking/baking lacks!! So I’d have to say try it- it’s a great value, ease of instructions, good feel to the dough, just it didn’t suit me. No throw offs tho- Good value for the quantity/size!

Better than our homemade donuts
Every Easter year, we make homemade Raised Donuts - its a VT Maple season tradition. It's such a long process and the results can be iffy. I wanted to try this mix to compare. Its a pretty big container of dry mix. The directions are a bit vague as others have mentioned but I’ve been baking for many years so I knew what the process was. However, it should be more clear for those with less experience.INSTRUCTIONS:5 cups of Donut Mix1 1/2 cups of water (water should be warm to activate the yeast which you will need to buy)3 1/2 teaspoons of yeastMix for 10-12 minutes and then I placed in a warm oven with boiling water. It doubled in size after 45 minutes of rising time. I punched it down once, and put it back in the oven to proof for 15 minutes. I poured out the dough and rolled it out to about 1.5in thick sheet of dough and cut the donuts out. I cut full donuts without holes so I could fill them. I let them rise another 15-20 minutes and then fried them. I did 3 different varieties: Maple cream, raspberry jam filled, and cinnamon sugar coated. They came out so good! They were fluffy and moist. I think we may have to use this donut mix for our annual raised donuts on Easter Day because they are that good.
