Big capacity air fryer!
This air fryer is awesome! It has cooking functions depending on the type of food, and has a large capacity. The digital display takes some getting used to but is easy enough. An excellent product and value for money.

Amazing
Amazon basics...there is nothing basic about this. It is amazing! It cooks everything so fast. Faster than the time it would take to preheat an oven alone. I'm saving a small fortune by using this.It looks great in my kitchen, very sleek design. It's easy to use, clean and it cooks food perfectly.I cooked some vegan sausages, they tasted so clean. No greese or oily taste from frying in a pan. Just cooked to perfection.French fries have never tasted so good. Crisp and fluffy inside.Sausage rolls too, perfect pastry.I can't wait to try cupcakes out!I highly recommend everybody has one of these. It holds so much!! I am truly elated about it.10/10. Amazing.

An extremely good buy
I am amazed at how good this air fryer is for the price, especially as I got it on a 'black friday' deal. Some months ago I needed to replace my Halogen oven and eventually bought a microwave combi oven rather than an air fryer. It is a flatbed inverter type and I have really struggled to get to grips with the combination cooking. I was becoming very despondent when I saw the Amazon Basics Airfryer on a deal. It's totally amazing! The basket is big and easily takes a meal for two people or for example, 4 large baking potatoes and is very easy to use. If I have one criticism, it would be helpful to have a few basic cooking tips included in the manual but that has not prevented me from giving this air fryer 5 stars. I'm using my combi oven mainly as a microwave and keeping plates and food warm!

Still going strong after 18 months!
I bought the manual version long before the recent craze for airfryers - I paid £35 for the manual version of this, and to this day I can honestly say its fantastic! I bought some round silicone liners from Amazon about 6 months ago which has saved time on the deep cleaning. I use it for everything: fresh, frozen, sweet, savoury. I cook alot of "alternative" chips - celeriac, carrot, butternut squash. After softening for a few mins in the microwave, they cook lovely and crispy in about 15mins in the tray with only a blast of frylite. Other things (all in one silicone basket) include the chips described, quorn nuggets, large flat top mushrooms. I do large baskets of Mediterranean veg and my 14yr olds Friday night Indian Fakeaway of 2 chicken breasts in a yoghurt based tikka sauce, then afterwards I'll pop a peshwari nan in to warm. I've done banana breads and muffins. Salmon in foil, basically it does the lot! Pitta airfryer pizza's in about 6mins. Perfect for 1-2 people.

Amazon Basics 4 Litre Digital - Seems well built, but the double basket is flimsy and will rust.
I bought this Air Fryer an an Amazon warehouse deal. Save for a couple of issues due to being a refurb, including a few scratches and a dead spider the size of a garden pea in the box, in my opinion this air fryer seems well built, but it has pros and cons.First at all, since manufactures cannot be bothered to provide accurate measurements, and the thousands of customers are only able to says "it fits my kitchen nicely", let me start with some measurements first. The unit is 32CM tall x 28CM wide x 38CM deep (due to the protruding handle and a cable strain relief on the back). This comes with a double basket configuration, with an outer basked attached to the front of the "drawer", which is used to collect oil and juices, and an inner perforated basket where you actually cook the food which is attached to the handle. The outer basket is approximately 20.8CM x 21.5CM, with rounded edges, while the inner basket is 18.5CM x 19CM.The positives:- The unit looks well made and the the plastic does not seem flimsy.- On the inside, there is a metal lining all over, and you can see an aluminium fan with small fins above the heating element.- The digital display is simple to use: one button turns the unit on or off, another starts and pauses cooking, and a third button allows you to select either the temperature, or the time, with the plus and minus buttons to adjust them.- Temperature and time are displayed separately.- While cooking the timer counts down and also shows seconds.- The unit does switch off as soon as you take the drawer out, and resumes cooking when you put it back in.- A soft touch bytton allows you to put the fryer on stand-by but there is no physical on/off switch.- The noise is audible but tolerable. The negatives:- In my opinion, the silver and black look is atrocious, although although I like the medium sized blue segment display.- It filled the kitchen with a distinctive plastic smell when I turned it on even at just 80 degrees.- The double basket in my opinion is a gimmick, as while it may help with air circulation and whatnot, it also means you need to clean TWO baskets every time you use the unit.- The metal used for the baskets is so thin that even folded on itself the thickness is about 1/5 of a millimetre. The baskets are basically as thick as a greeting card. Because of this, I doubt the non stick coating covers the edges properly, and the baskets will rust as it usually happens with baking trays from the pound shop.- Speaking of metal, when inserting and removing the drawer, it is possible the outer basket will rub against the metal lining within the air fryer. This could result in the non-stick coating on the bottom of the basket to scratch and peel off.I think an air fryer using a simpler single round basket design, with a perforated insert could be a better choice, as you may be able to find a decently made aluminium pot in the same size and use it to replace the cheap basket said air fryer comes with, when this will inevitably fall apart. :)
