The man I gave this to was blown away he’d never seen anything like it. It’s the telling of history through a series of maps. Highly recommend for the man with everything and an interest in history.

box set is nice because it comes in it own nice little box seran wrapped. Books are new and in great condition. The hardcovers are very nice, and each page is a nice thick glossy page, full of color, images and maps.also at same time bought several other items, including the dk smithsonian ocean book. Had like 15 items altogether and they were all in a larger box, including all these books. The single book was new and great quality like the boxset, however the two non binding corners were slightly damaged given amazons strategy of putting like a single piece of paper for packing material.get the box sets, it'll help protect them while shipping

This book collection provides wonderful illustrations and maps to coincide with the history. Makes it a much easier read! If your looking to expand you library I would highly recommend!

Absolutely love these books. They are very informative and there’s a lot of information on each page which is easy to digest. It gives great overviews, which can then be expanded upon at a later time.
