Good tester
I just used this to test the brake fluid. One vehicle needs to be changed now. The other one showed I can wait a while before needing to be changed. A little tough to open the battery compartment to install a AAA battery that is not included with the tester. My vehicles were a little tough actually to get to the fluid to test because of the way the reservoir is obstructed. Seems to be pretty accurate tester for the price.

What a great little gizmo
I care for dozens of vehicles, as well as taking on repairs from the general public, and this little device has become a part of my normal diagnostic and trouble shooting kit. I can't speak to its accuracy vs. some sort of lab analysis, but this is more of a horseshoes & hand grenades kinda tool that helps provide a picture to customers. Having a visual to reinforce the advisement to change their old brake fluid helps them as well as me while also keeping the explaining to a minimum. I check new and left-over fluid with it all of the time and it hasn't given me any suspect readings yet. Been using it weekly for several months now, and the battery is just fine. Overall, very pleased, especially for the price.

Simple way of measuring the water level in your car's brake fluid. Just stick it into the reservoir, indicator lights tell you if you are within safe levels. Quick, simple and cheap.

Always wrong
I missed the return window by one day, regretting it big time. First tested a six year-old car with nearly 80,000 miles on it and it acknowledged no water at all, then tested the same car with freshly bought brake fluid and a 100% flush, it showed a red line 4% plus moisture content. I wouldn't trust this thing to cast the shadow on a sunny day, it is that bad...

Works
Stuck it in my brake fluid and it didn't light up. Touched it to water and it lit right up. I guess I don't have water in my brake fluid.
