I needed a truly solid base for my monitor arms as we travel full time in a RV. Moving is like a mini earthquake so everything takes a beating about once a week. I've had this base for a couple months now, and it's doing fantastic. No sign of wear, and no accidents. Happy I spent the extra even though my desk didn't really need it. (had we been stationary)

I thought there was no chance to use a go-through monitor arm for my IKEA MICKE desk until I see this one, since all suggestions I saw on Reddit are drilling another hole on the desk by yourself. This plate is big enough to cover the grommet hole of the desk (with the folding edge kept downwards along the desk's edge), and with its middle hole, I can still have all my cables go through it. The plate is thick enough and the quality of the material is good. It is a great solution if you want to put a monitor arm on your IKEA MICKE desk.

Helpful in stabilizing the mount, especially when using a grommet style mounting system that is not situated near the edge of the desk. Discovered that the overhang on the outer edge of my desk was not sufficient enough to support the clamp style mount that seems to be more conventional with this type of setup, and decided to use a grommet-style mount instead. Wanted to make do with the existing pass-through holes already in the desktop, and this purchase was helpful in achieving a good result. Used with a double-decker vertical mounting system with arms to support a 27” upper monitor and a lower laptop computer. Padded underneath to prevent damage to desktop and surface below desk. Seems to hold up fairly well. It’s a couple of metal plates, so not asking too much from the item. Definitely helps provide a “cleaner” looking work area. Does what you need it to. I’d recommend.

Does a great job of spreading out the weight of the monitor arm and clamp. My current desk isn't the best, this let's me feel secure about my monitor.

Bought this because I'm using the AVLT double monitor arm mount on a tempered glass desk and this bracket was exactly what I needed. This brand is GREAT QUALITY.

Purchased two of these. I like the first one so much I bought a second! The second was missing one of the pads but the company sent me the missing pad in a matter of days! Pretty amazing considering they’re based in Taiwan. Very friendly people, very sturdy product.

Over the top solid. It's pricey but it delivers. It includes parts to grip both the top and bottom of the desk.
