We used everything in the box..!!
Had so much fun putting this mailbox together. Took my wife and I about 90-minutes we didn't have to cement our post.our existing post was sturdy enough or it would have taken 2 day.

Love it
We love our new mailbox. When we travel we can take the floor out of the mailbox and allow mail to collect while we are gone. We have had issues in the past where we did a mail stop while gone, but the post office kept delivering mail. Using our new mailbox box that is no longer a worry. We are gone weeks at a time and this holds a lot of mail. After we installed it we let the mail accumulate about two weeks. Ours was no way near full. I think it could hold several weeks of mail for us.We did pour a concrete pad for it to set on above the ground. The only possible negative is no flag for outgoing mail. It’s just a black bar to pull out. But we don’t usually put outgoing mail in ours anyway.

Looks great but seems a bit flimsy.
I was really unsure if I should give this 3 or 4 stars. This replaces another Step 2 mailbox that I have had for 15-20 years. That box held up really well but I wanted a storage box. I love the look of this mailbox but I feel like the design could be improved. The old one I had came mostly assembled and was nice and sturdy. This one is in multiple pieces held together by self tapping screws that go into relatively thin plastic. When all assembled and installed it still seems to flex a lot. It can flex a good bit side to side. It just seems very flimsy compared to my old Step 2 mailbox. I hope it holds up but I’m not so sure that will.

Getting What you pay for!!
It's not as sturdy as the photo makes it look like... remember its all plastic;the side panels looks bowed after assembling it: you do need two people tohelp hold the panels in place while you put it together: The 4x4 has to bevery bit of 35to 36" tall to secure it; I added paves to the bottom then attached2 "L" shape braces to the pavers to the lower portion so the back end won'tswivel around. If I get 5 years out of it, I'll break even; I would have them sell mea "composite" panel vs plastic panel to add strength; You need to make sure that theangel you screw the attachment of the upper (top) panel goes downward to the side panels; The guide slots they have makes it appear that the screw angle upwards, missing the side panelsall together. I live in Florida, & the sun will take it's toll on it I.m sure.

Love my new mailbox
Assembly takes some understanding about what piece you are attaching to another piece. The panels are not precisely machined but are pliable enough to set the pieces correctly. An electric screwdriver was very helpful. If it wasn’t right the first time, I could remove the screw and try again quickly. I got everything aligned. The magnets worked fine. The floor of the mailbox can be removed for delivery of small packages. I did put a cushion at the bottom to protect dropping packages. So that the mail carrier knew, I wrote instructions onto the removable panel. It’s heavy and free standing. It meets my needs.
