Hypertech 32501 Max Energy Power Programmer

Did exactly what I expected. After going through the update (you have to do this no matter what to get it set to your vehicle) it really isn’t a big deal as long as you read. Heard a lot of negative about the having to update before using it. It isn’t vehicle specific. Other than that, it prompts you through the process and works just as expected. My 09 Silverado on 35” tires has a working speedometer now and AFM Delete is perfect. Should have purchased a long time ago!!

I've had this programmer over a year now and has done exactly what it says and then some! It took a few times to get it right as for as programming goes but well worth the cost. I was initially afraid to add any programmer to my truck bc of the bad things I heard they can do. I took a try and WOW what a difference! I have it set on level two and my fuel mileage has gone up 3 mpg city and 4-5 on hwy... Even though I have a heavy foot! I changed the calibration, and a few others and the performance. The thing has turned my truck into a race car! Power is amazing... I'm actually afraid to turn it to level 3 bc I'm already catching 2nd and 3 gear shift skids and peeling the rubber off my 305 terra grabblers. Amazing product. I have 160 k miles on my truck too and purrs like a kitten. But, this is the first of heard of it limiting your engine life. Will have to check in to that. Bought 2012 review written 1/30/14.

Iv only had the tune on my truck for a few days so that's why I went with 4 stars. I am honestly impressed with it so far though. Havnt noticed any gas mileage increase as of yet but that could be due to the fact that I have it sent on the performance tune and have had a heavy foot since. My 2011 Silverado seems to love the new tune though. Running noticeable smoother. Shifts are much smoother as well. Main reason for purchase was to turn off that miserable AFM. With an aftermarket exhaust system there was a nasty exhaust note at cruising speed when the truck would go into V4 mode. Or a "tone lock" some would say. With this programmer I was able to disable the AFM system eliminating that "tone lock."there is also a handful of other features that was a plus for sure but they are listed in the description so I won't get into all of them. I will say that this programmer paired with the handful of performance products I have on my truck (K&N intake, jet MAF sensor, jet throttle body spacer, & flow master duel exhaust) is a must have.

I bought this mainly to disable the active fuel management. It would not install without an upgrade. Installed software on computer to update the programmer. Programmer update failed as update software is out of date. Had to install updated installer. Upgraded programmer and reprogrammed the computer in my 2008 GMC Sierra 1500. Went for a test drive with the following results:1. No discernible change in power2. No option to disable the active fuel managementI called customer support and was immediately told the option to disable active fuel management applies only to 2009 and newer vehicles and that there were no plans to include 2008 and prior models. So why can't they say this in the product description instead of forcing the consumer to purchase and install to figure out if the option is there or not? Huge waste of time and money. This went back for a refund! To make matters worse, the claim of increased power is a joke too. All of this for ONLY $330!!!

Used on my 2015 gmc all terrain and nothing but positive feed back. Easy installation for More torque, hp, and better gas mileage. I’ve been telling everyone with at truck that they need to get one totally worth it.

Make sure you read vry closely what this programmer will do for your vehicle. It will program many things, but not all those things can be programmed for many different models of cars, even though it shows, generically, it will.That said, It is probably the best bang for the buck, of all the programmers on the market. I hve used Hypertech products for 25 years, and have never had a problem with any of them..Even though I returned this Hypertech model, it was only because it did not do what I read it would do. ("harden up" the shifting of my transmission.)

Got this item fast within 3days of ordering took a few minutes to upload the new updates on the programmer from my computer and software provided once that was done I plugged it into the truck it was very easy to use step by step it walks you thru the settings you desire I turned off AFM on my 2009 gmc 1500 5.3 and used it to correct my tire size so speedo would be correct also increased Trans firmness this morning on the way to work I noticed a 2mpg increase on the highway

My email to tech support:Hi, I just got my Max Energy tuner in today. Part # 32501 Serial # 1882494. It seems like a lot of features are missing. The only settings I can adjust are: tire size, axle ratio, top speed, and shift points. There is nowhere to adjust shift firmness, AFM settings, regular or premium octane, rev limiter, etc. I have a 2009 GMC Yukon Denali 6.2. Did I get a defective product? Or is there an update I can download for it?Their initial response was copied and pasted from the product website, and answered zero of my issues. Still waiting for a half intelligent response, so I can benefit from the advertised features of this product.
