Absolutely fabulous, with a few quirks.
For the price, this is just a fabulous piece of equipment. I have only used the standalone saw, not the saw/clipper. I have made over 100 cuts with the saw on branches up to about 5" thick (heavy branches get cut in segments)I've been using pole saws (manual like this and electric pole chainsaws) for many years, along with pole clippers. This saw cuts fast and clean. I LOVE the hook at the end of the blade to keep you from slipping out of the cut! That's been a frustration with prior saws.I can reach and control so much farther than I could before. I have used this both from the ground and from a ladder* and I love having modular pole extensions. Best and fastest manual pole saw I have ever used.Okay, onto the quirks:There was loose fiberglass dust/fibers inside the poles. If I'd known that I would have blown out all of the poles first instead of later. When using more than 4 pole segments it gets noticeably wobbly and more delicate to control. Also heavier, of course. Have not used the longest or second-longest configuration. I believe it would still be usable. The button locking mechanism for the pole segments can be finicky. I'm going to try using silicone lube.*Not recommending anyone else work from a ladder. Be careful about ladders, kids - I have lots of professional and personal experience climbing and working at heights.

will save you hundreds, possibly thousands of dollars
$100 to save multiples in the future.only issues i’ve had is losing a couple screws/bolts due to slamming around/falling, but easily replaced. then there are little pins in each of the rods that keep wiggling their way out. those could use some sort of cap, but again, very minor issue.combined with a rope saw, i was able to take down a 50ft hackberry without having to climb a single foot of it, and safely away from the falling branches. had to use a 4ft on 6ft ladder for the highest couple with ease.wouldn’t mind if they could send an extra set of all the screws, but no worries if not.

It does work, but...
Long reach, easy to use and successfully trimmed two large, high branches. However, be prepared for a real workout. The blade on this unit is barely passable. One branch needed over 1,000 strokes to cut through the limb, the other almost 1,600 strokes. I'm happy with the product, it did what it was supposed to do. I was aware of comments from others on the blade. Even so, this is NOT a product for regular tree maintenance. Look at this as a tool you will use very infrequently and on a few nuisance branches - and reserve a lot of time for the project. The blade was much less sharp than expected. But probably would buy again because the alternative is a costly tree service

Great tool
This tool is brilliant. Reasonably priced, well engineered, good quality materials. I took down dead limbs I’ve been looking at for years in a few hours. The saw cuts very effectively. The stops on each end of the saw blade keep the saw in place, and also can pull a limb down with a tug once you hook the limb. Exactly what I needed. Nice canvas container to hold the tool once disassembled. Comes with two blades, and a plastic sheath for the one being used.

Will probably save you $$$
Will probably save you from calling a tree trimming service. Is this a great tool for a professional landscaper? Probably not. Will it last forever? Probably not. Is it easy to use? Surprisingly yes at medium extension, but you better be strong if you plan to add the last 2-3 rods. You will save $$$ trying this before calling a tree trimming service.

Works Great
I wasn't expecting this pruner to work so well! My husband needed it to trim some high branches away from the house. He said that the assembly was a little tricky, but he figured it out well enough. The pruner cut through every branch like butter. The more extensions you add (the higher it gets), the more it becomes a bit of a two-person job, as it's difficult to hold the pole and pull the rope. I assisted him on the higher branches, and it was not difficult to operate the rope at all. I was very impressed with how easy it was to prune the branches!
