Good service, good product
This valve did just what I wanted. I had replaced a valve on a zone that was losing volume to the point that the sprinkler heads wouldn't fully rise up. The new valve did not have a control valve, so I still was not getting enough water flow.The valve I bought here had a control knob on top of the diaphragm housing. I was able to open up the water flow and get all the water I needed for the zone that was underpowered.It did just what I wanted.Service was quick, the product was what I would expect from Rainbird.

Not for indoors
These things work but they leak like crazy. Good for outdoors. I wanted to create an automated watering panel for my small farm. Glad that I installed the panel outside of the shed. 7 in total leak about a glass of water a day from fittings and cavities and such. Which is fine if its outdoor.

TOP-OF-LINE
One of my five 20-year-old zone valves failed. Time to replace all five, to avoid mismatching and anticipated failures. My original valve manufacturer no longer made a replacement model. One cannot go wrong with Rain Bird. Also, they are instantly available with 'phone advice.

Excellent replacement part
I used the top portion of this to repair an existing one that was leaking. My system is very old and all of the screws lined up perfectly! Excellent product--highly recommend.
